Hot and sunny, nice day.
An okay day. I went to the apartment in the morning and did laundry. After that I took a quick nap then made breakfast. I actually got done almost in time this morning. When I walked to work it was really nice and I started to worry about getting suntanned/burned. With my skin I have to be so careful.
Work was fine today. I didn't have many classes today, but I had almost 100% attendance. Yeah. Only one student was missing. In my last class I had 4 out of 5 people there and it was a fun class.
After work Fumihiko picked me up and we went to Gusto. I had the pork calbee stuff, which was very nice. We also shared a salad. Yum.
You know, lately I've been catching myself in mirrors and I have to say that I look pretty good! I seem to have gotten over my plateau and my weight has finally shifted again. I've been walking more since I've come back from Canada and things are going well on that front. Hopefully I can keep it up. I do notice that I have a lot more energy at work than I used to. All good things. However, my manager asked me today why don't I try to sell my old clothes here on my homepage and I had to admit that I am too afraid that I will gain back all of the weight that I lost and I'll need them again. Yikes. I really hope that that doesn't happen.
What am I reading these days? Hmmm. Well, I picked up one of Sue Grafton's books again, I think it's J for Justice...not sure exactly. At the new apartment I've still got Of Marriagable Age going on. It's really interesting, but I don't spend a lot of time reading right now. I should take something else to work soon. I need the distraction on my lunch break!
Oh, one other thing. The guy in the school in Sakata is from Calgary, so we have a friendly Edmonton-Calgary rivalry going on. Of course this year Calgary made it to the Stanley Cup finals, so he's been lording it over me. But I teased him a bit about it today! Maybe, if Calgary wins I'll even wear the cap that he gave me for my birthday around Tsuruoka. Maybe!
