June 6, 2004 - Sunday

Hot and muggy, rainy in the evening.

Last night I stayed at the apartment by myself and had a grand old time! It was fun. I made some soup in my slow cooker, then I cooked a real dinner for myself. While I ate I watched "The Sure Thing", an old John Cusack movie, worked on a jigsaw puzzle and then watched a bit of Road to Avonlea. (How's that for Canadiana?) I took a bath, but got out fairly quickly when the water got too darn hot. I read some of my book too. It was getting light round about the time I went to bed.

I don't know what woke me up this morning, but I went and checked the washing machine. My stuff was washed (I'd set it to come on this morning) so I hung it up and then did the other load. I read more of my book and just relaxed. Well, after the second load of laundry was hung up, I read more and waited for hubby. And waited for hubby. And waited!

He showed up around 11, but he looked very different. At first I thought that it was hangover related, but it wasn't. He's come down with another rash....all over his face. Poor thing. It looks so painful. One of his eyes is a bit swollen. He looks like he's been in a fight with someone, and lost. He was late because he'd gone to the doctor to get something for his face. Fumihiko thinks that it's something plant related from work. Oh my gosh.

He came in and I made him some coffee and fed him some soup. Then, before I did the dishes, he went and lay down on the bed and fell asleep. Hmm. So, I washed my dishes, left his on the counter, and then I finished reading my book. It was great. I really enjoyed it. After I finished my book I went and laid down on the bed too. I slept a bit, and it wasn't until 5 something that we got going.

We ate more soup and drank more coffee, then we went to the mall. I picked up my clothes and then we checked out the movies. The two that I was interested in were already playing, so we decided to pass tonight. After a quick drink at Mr. Donuts we went to the furniture department of Jusco. I went to the ladies room, and when I came out discovered Fumihiko trapped in a massaging chair.

He wasn't really trapped of course, it's just that it had arm bands to massage his arms, and leg massagers, and feet massagers. It looked very much like the chair was trying to eat him or something. So, of course, I had to get into another chair and try it out too. Mine was very painful. It kept grabbing my wrist around my watch and squeezing it. Ouch. I took off my watch and that helped, but it still wasn't that great. However, my legs and back felt great. I really liked the way they felt afterwards. Still, we won't be buying those chairs anytime soon, too darn expensive!

We started to get a bit peckish so we went over to Sakata and had dinner at M's Dining. I had steak, but it wasn't very good. It was tough. Fumihiko had curry, plus my french fries and my veggies.

We came home and that's about it for today. Kind of boring actually. I do feel for my hubby though. He looks really awful, I hope he can take time off to see a doctor tomorrow.

That's it for me, gotta go! Night night.
