November 9, 2004 - Tuesday

Clear and sunny, gorgeous day!

A good day. This morning I did my usual stuff, but I did it early! I don't know why exactly, but I ended up finishing cooking early, eating early and even washing dishes early. I didn't leave early for work though, because I was reading a magazine.

I was quite busy at work today. I taught 6 lessons and I think they went well. I did catch one student out in a lie about his homework though. I dunno, why bother lying? No one has to come to my school, so if you don't do the homework, just say so.

After work I waited for Fumihiko to call me, but he didn't. I was wondering if he had to work late. I tried to call him, and just as I did, my phone rang. He'd had to drive his bosses to a co-worker's house. His co-worker's father had died yesterday. Well, there was nothing that he could do. Fumihiko couldn't have known about that before he went to work today. I told him that I'd bike back to the apartment and wait for him there.

The ride back to the apartment was lovely! The weather as I mentioned was great and the night was quite warm and clear. It was a nice way to get rid of any lingering tension from work.

Fumihiko called me about 30 minutes later and then picked me up. We went to Gusto for dinner, but not the local one, the one further away. We had quite a nice meal. I had something that resembled a Mixed Grill with salad and soup and Fumihiko had tonkatsu.

We hit Max Valu afterwards for some groceries. I bought some veggies and meat too. They had a lot of things there but unfortunately I don't know my way around the store yet. It was late and Fumihiko was tired. I have to be careful because I love shopping so much, I even enjoy grocery shopping and have been known to spend hours doing it! (Not really.) When we paid for the groceries I had a nice surprise, the lady asked if I remembered how much the frozen veggies were. I did, and she believed me! Yay. She didn't feel the need to go and check. That made me feel good.

At the apartment I made some decaf coffee and put a few drops of vanilla in it. It was really nice for a change. Now, Fumihiko is putting together our new DVD rack. He was going to work on it on our couch (on our 80, 000 yen leather couch that is) but I asked him to move to the tatami room. The room is empty and there's nothing in his way! Much better idea, wasn't it?

Anyway, that's it for me for tonight. I hope to go to bed fairly soon. It's getting late and I need my beauty sleep. Speaking of which, that lump/bump under my eye is a little less noticable today, but it's still there! Argh!

Night night!
