Sunny, warm and nice.
Well, this morning Fumihiko was cheerful and genki when he went to work. I wish I was the same! I could hardly stay awake at home. I did everything but the dishes on time and got to school a couple of minutes earlier than yesterday. Yay.
I wasn't "busy" at work today, but I did have 4 classes and prepared for Tuesday, so was busy for most of the day. Classes went well. I was surprised at the kids class. Some of the kids that I think don't know things did very well, and some of the children that I thought did know things really didn't. I was also a bit surprised to realize that I missed them during the holiday.
My evening classes went quite well too, and in my last class I actually had 2 students. It was their first time together and interesting to see how well they worked together.
I finished up quickly and asked Fumihiko to come and get me. He did, and tonight we did something different! We went to the grocery story and then came home. I didn't need a lot of things, but I wanted to get some cheese and some salad. I took some ground beef and pork, added some very old taco seasoning to it, and made tacoless tacos. It was a big hit. I served it with some cheese and sour cream on the side. Yum yum yum. We could use the lettuce to replace the tacos, or just pile everything on our forks. While we prepared things and ate, we watched Ocean's 11 on TV. So, a nice evening. Then, Fumihiko did the dishes. (It's not just that he's sweet, he really doesn't like my style of doing dishes!)
So that was my day. I also finished my book along the way, The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency. I enjoyed it. I thought it was a lovely, gentle way to see Africa. I've never been to Botswana, but the characters reminded me of the places there I have seen. (As I write this, Ladysmith Black Mambazo just came on my iTunes Party Mix. Is that an interesting coincidence or what?)
