Sunny and nice.
A good day. In the morning Fumihiko got a call from his mother. At 7:30 in the morning. Unbelievable.
I went to work, got there on time, and then worked! Except, during my non teaching time I went to the post office. Now, I like the Japanese Post Office. It gets my mail to my family quickly and cheaply, but... Today I took my sister's present box to mail it. I had to fill out a label at the post office. The lady (who is very very nice) gave me a form to fill out. I filled it out. It was bilingual, English and Japanese, so no problem. I filled it out with my address, my sister's address, the contents of the box, everything. I took it back to the counter and then she weighed the box. She told me two prices, one for airmail and one for courier. The courier one was cheaper, so of course I picked it. That meant I had to fill out another form. ARGH! I wish she'd checked first! It was quite a big difference in cost too, 1400 yen. The lady did give me a towel afterwards, I guess she felt a little bad? She's very nice, doesn't give me the, "Oh God it's a foreigner" look when I come in, so I don't mind too much.
Later in the day I fired up the little dvd player that Fumihiko gave me. I didn't watch a movie, but I might tomorrow if I have time. I went to S-Mall in the evening. I didn't buy any DVDs or 100 yen shop stuff, but I did have a latte at the coffee shop and got a few groceries.
Fumihiko and I went to Cocos tonight for dinner. It was okay. He had a steak waiting for him at home so he didn't want to eat too much. I had a burger with drink bar.
When we came home we chatted for a while and now he's off to bed. He's very tired these days, unlike me.
Anyway, I'm off for the evening. Have a good night. Gotta go!
