Sunny and warm.
I went to bed before two last night, which was incredibly early for me! I wanted Fumihiko not to stay up late as he had to get up early this morning. It seemed to work. He woke up around 5:30, but surprisingly, I woke up just before the alarm went off. I've read in books that some of the heroes have "alarm clocks in their heads", I don't think mine is in my head, more like my bladder, but hey, whatever works. I wouldn't let him go back to sleep, so he finally got up. I went back to sleep sometime after that.
I woke up for real a few hours later, and discovered that hubby had made coffee for me. Wasn't that sweet? I was touched. I checked email, and did my stuff on line for a while. Just before my lunch I decided to see about upgrading my computer. I made some copies of things and then put in the disk.
The computer did all of the work of course. I started the disk up and it said it would take a couple of hours. That was fine I thought. I'd cook lunch and watch a Friends DVD. I looked again, it was down to about 30 minutes. Huh? Still, it seemed to be working fine, so I left it alone to do it's thing. I cooked lunch, ate it, and watched a Friends DVD. Life was good. My computer finished, and amazingly, OS 10.4 loaded on my computer. Hurray for that. It's very cool. But now, the bad news. (A little bit techy stuff ahead) I went into Disk Utility to repair permissions and check on the general health of the new system and it gave me a scary message. It said that my Hard Disk was failing. YIKES. I repaired permissions with no trouble, but after some searching on the net, I discovered that I had better get it replaced as soon as possible. I'll have to go to Sakata to the shop that fixed my computer before. I need my computer.
Fumihiko came home after 7:00pm tonight, exhausted. He'd had a hard day. Another bus (not his) had some kind of accident and he'd had to try pushing the bus. That was not good for his back.
After a bit of a cuddle, we went out for dinner. We planned to go to La Chance as they are moving/closing and we wanted to show our support for the chef, but it was already closed. When we got there, someone was taking out the furniture. Fumihiko suggested Bistro Des Ponts in Mikawa, so that's where we went. We both had steak tonight, and it was very nice. Everything was good.
We bought a few groceries on the way home, then came home. We spent a nice evening together before Fumihiko fed me some melon. After that, he fell asleep on the couch and only just now went to bed. He's really tired. It sounds like he's already asleep.
And that was my day. I don't have much planned for tomorrow, but Fumihiko has asked me to get pictures made for his international drivers license. I might do that tomorrow or wait until Tuesday. I'm not sure.
I have to go! Night night.
