Windy, cloudy and finally rainy.

Today was nice. I slept late, despite not taking any medicine. I think some people really need alarm clocks! I took a quick shower and then Fumihiko and I went out for lunch.

His first choice was full so we decided to go for Kaiten-sushi. We didn't go to our usual place though, we went to another restaurant. We had an okay meal there. It was unusual for me because they had female sushi-chefs. There's usually some poppycock about women not being able to make good sushi because their hands are too warm or something. Well, I liked the sushi. It wasn't as busy as the other place, so we had to ask for some of our favourites, but we also got to try a few new types that I'd never had before...crab-mayonaise anyone? There was one thing on the menu that I didn't and wouldn't ask for, kujira sushi....whale. Hmm. I don't think so.

We didn't know what to do after lunch, so we tossed around a few ideas. Fumihiko suggested karaoke, but because my nose is still running and I don't really want to stress my voice when I have a cold, I said no. Instead, I countered by asking about going to the beach. Fumihiko had offered to take me on Saturday, but I wasn't feeling too well so turned him down.

We drove over to the ocean and down the coast a little way. The sea was stormy, great walls of water crashing against the rocks or the tetrapods. It looked amazing really. We got out of the car at Yura Beach and had a little walk around. The wind was really blowing. I love wind like that, so I was happy to stay for a while. We walked along the bridge, but not the shore. I didn't think the shore was a safe place to walk, although there were some surfers in the water.

We drove back to Tsuruoka on this tiny mountain road. For much of the trip, it was one lane only. I was worried in case a car came in the opposite direction, but it only happened once, and fortuitously it was at a wide spot in the road.

We stopped at a Farmer's market kind of place and had a good look around. I didn't buy anything to eat, but I did get a Christmas present for one of my friends. I think she'll like it. Heck, I like it!

We came home, then went out again for dinner. We had soba tonight at the new chain restaurant. I had extra soba because I was hungry! It wasn't bad, although Fumihiko is such a snob that he didn't like his much.

We came home and had a quiet evening until 10 pm when I turned on the TV for Jekyll. It was really good tonight. There's one episode left. After that, I turned the channel over to watch ER. If I don't do it, Fumihiko spends 10 minutes finding the right channel on our new TV and I just can't be bothered waiting for him. Not only can he never find the channel, but he has to figure out how to change it into English. My way is faster!

Tonight was good...Luka's court case is over, Neela is having dreams about her co-worker and Weaver was on TV.

That's about it. Fumihiko went to bed just after the show ended, and I really should go soon too. I'm tired and I still have this blooming cold. My nose is running. I guess I should take some medicine, but I can't sleep late tomorrow. I'm back to work!

Got to go. Night night!
