Sunny and nice.
Today was a bit of a different day, but it was quite good in its way. This morning I got up early so that Fumihiko and I could go out for breakfast. We had breakfast at Gusto before he set out on his way to Yamagata city.
At home again, I showered and then spent some time on my computer. I also did a couple of loads of laundry. I left for work a little late. It was dark out. I went via the drug store again. I had paid and was on my way out, when I noticed some bright pink fingerless gloves for 98 yen. I grabbed a pair and then went back to the checkout. I think the clerk was a bit surprised to see me again so soon.
My classes tonight went quite well. The kids class was fun, and the adult class was very telling. My student is going to take the pre-2nd grade Eiken interview test on Sunday and we did some practice tests for it today. It was quite difficult.
I spent some time cleaning up the school and at 10 pm I received a call from my husband. He was still in Yamagata and the meeting was still going on. Yikes. I told him I'd go home when I finished.
I had a lovely bike ride home and then had dinner. I had cold roast pork sandwiches on French bread with dijon and mayonaise. I had some open faced with sauce. Very nice. Because I'm such a loving wife, I even made a few sandwiches for Fumihiko. He called at midnight to say that the meeting was finally over and he was on his way home.
I watched a lovely old Katharine Hepburn movie set in Venice, and a little before 2 am my husband arrived home. He showered and then ate his very late dinner in his pajamas. He's now making himself some ramen. Sigh. Still, I can't really say anything because he's had a really long day, and he has to get up early tomorrow morning and go back to Yamagata for work.
That's about it for me, except I wanted to mention that I saw a flight of swans tonight. I heard them first as they were very noisy, but soon I saw them overhead. It made me think of the Grimm's tale about the girl who had to make 7 coats for her brothers before 7 years were up or they'd be forever swans. I always felt sorry for the last brother whose coat didn't quite get finished and had a wing for an arm after that. It was an odd story, wasn't it?
Night.
|My blog on Blogspot. NO annoying pop-ups, and with bonus pictures too! I'm running out of space on Angelfire and will probably move the daily blog portion to Blogspot completely.
