Yes, yet one more page dedicated to one of the best bands today, Vertical Horizon. I just learned about VH last year, probably around
Halloween or so, when Everything You Want started getting air play out here in California. I loved it from the start, but I had no clue who it
was, or what the name of the band was. I thought the dj had said Vertical Horizon, but I wasn't sure, and when I typed it into scour to hopefully
find the song, nothing came up, so I figured that I heard it wrong, and forgot all about it. Maybe a month later, a friend across the country told
me that I "had" to hear this band, so he sent me (probably) 5 songs by Vertical Horizon. I liked them, and I think the third or fourth song I heard
was EYW. I was ecstatic! I wasn't hooked yet tho . . . that didn't happen until Jan 21, 2000, when they opened for Guster and Stroke9 at the
Crest Theater in Sacramento. After their set, Matt, Keith, Ed, and Sean met fans in the foyer and signed autographs. I bought ROI
(Running on Ice) that night, to get their autographs, and one of my friends bought TABA (There and Back Again). We popped TABA into the cd
player in my car on the way back to Davis after the concert, and I was pretty impressed. I listened to ROI that night when I got home, and that
was it, I was completely hooked. Within that week I had their two other cds, and life for me (and my friends) hasn't been the same since :)
