Text Box: Mij sent Cyin back to her hostel and when both of them reached, Jon was there waiting with a bouquet of roses and a box of cake, the moment he saw the two, the roses he held faced the ground. Jon walked up and awkwardly positioned himself with the roses. "Erm hi I didn’t know you had an appointment so I had waited for you. Here, Happy Birthday." And Jon handed Cyin the roses with the cake. "Thanks Jon, sorry to keep you waiting. Do you want to come in for some coffee and the cake too?" Jon looked at Mij and declined, "No, it’s ok. It’s pretty late now I should get going. You two enjoyed it. Good nights." "Erm I should get going too, good night Cyin and Happy Birthday." Mij patted Cyin’s head as if she’s a little girl. "Hey! Don’t mess my hair! Haha thanks you two for remembering my birthday. I really appreciated it, goodnights friends." Cyin opened the door and let herself in. The guys looked at her entering before they leave. Both Mij and Jon were walking down the corridors in unison. Croakers’ ‘yi-yi’ sound covered the whole university. None of them spoke. Suddenly Jon starts the ball rolling. "Hmm… Seems like Cyin had enjoyed her day with you, and it’s good to have someone you can enjoy with, right?" Without much thinking, Mij replied, "Hmm yeah, and I enjoyed my day with her too although I got scratched by her… Hahahaha!" Mij started to giggle and immersed himself in his lala-land, forgetting bout Jon. Jon murmured under his breath, "Maybe it’s time to let go…" "Pardon me, what were you saying?" Jon gave him a tired smile, "Nothing…" They stopped at the junction of the corridors and each went for different directions. Jon was in his room. He stared blankly at the orange envelop on his desk with moonlight shone down at it through the glass paned windows. "No, I’m not going. I’ve got things I can’t let go…" "Are you sure Jon? It’s a very good chance… You should know that not everyone is eligible for this overseas studies plan sponsored by our U. Yet you turned down this wonderful offer? I don’t care what reasons you have, I just want you to think it through properly and give me your reply tomorrow morning." He looked out the windows for the stars. "I guess now it’s time for me to let you go… but no matter where I am, I will be the star that’s always by your side…" Home
