Jakked/Metal Results
For: Saturday 23rd June 2001
Back alongside Michael Hayes,
Kevin Kelly welcomes us aboard and sends it in to
ring announcer Howard Finkel for our first
contest.
Haku vs. Billy Phibes
-Typical Haku squash action with a double ax
handle off the second rope capping off the
sequence. Kelly mentions that X-Pac will take on
Jeff Hardy for the Light Heavyweight Championship
at King of the Ring. Phibes tries to come back
with a missile dropkick and a clothesline, but
Haku catches him coming off the top with a boot
and finishes him off with the Tongan Death Grip
for the 1-2-3 from referee Chad Patton.
-HERE is YOUR Winner: Haku
Kelly throws to Slam Jam where The Coach hypes
King of the Ring and Rhyno cuts a taped promo
about his chances of winning that very tournament.
Classic King of the Ring Moment: At the 1995
event, Bret Hart makes Jerry Lawler kiss his and
then The King's own foot after defeating him in a...you
guessed it...Kiss My Foot Match.
Kai En Tai vs. Scoot Andrews &
Christopher Daniels
-Funaki starts out in control of Andrews, but
Scot comes back and tags Daniels in. Funaki gets
control of The Fallen Angel as well and tags Taka
in. Taka and Daniels exchange chops with Taka
getting the best of things for a near fall from
referee Jack Doen. Funaki returns but a crisp
sequence by Daniels leads to a near fall. Andrews
tags in and Funaki actually manages to hold them
both at bay with chops but they soon double team
him and take control. Daniels tags in and
maintains control before tagging out. Daniels
fakes Taka into the ring and he and Andrews are
able to double team on Funaki. From there,
Andrews tags in and misses a guillotine leg drop
off the top and Funaki escapes to his corner.
Taka Cleans house, scoring his point blank range
dropkick on Daniels in the process. Funaki dumps
Andrews to the outside before bulldogging Daniels.
Taka then signals for and scores the Michinoku
Driver and this one is history.

WWF Slam of the Week: On RAW, Molly Holly trades
a slap for a Stone Cold Stunner with Steve Austin.
Test vs. Mike Sullivan
-This will be a non-title affair, folks. Test
muscles Sullivan about the ring at the start
before crushing him with a tilt-a-whirl slam.
Test creams Sullivan in the corner with a
clothesline and then follows up by tossing the
jobber to the outside. Referee Jimmy Kordares
counts as Test continues to bludgeon Sullivan on
the outside. Back inside, a Sullivan comeback
goes nowhere and Test drops him with a press slam.
Sullivan retreats to the corner but it does him
no good, as he is soon the victim of the big boot
and an effortless pin at the hands of Test.
-HERE is YOUR Winner: Test
Commercial

WWF Rewind: On RAW, WCW's Diamond Dallas Page
reveals himself as the man that's been stalking
The Undertaker's wife, Sara.
Crash vs. Jerry Lynn
-I know who SHOULD win this match. Will he? Crash
slaps Lynn in the face before a series of quick
basics leads to a Crash hurracurana. Lynn comes
back with a near fall from referee Tim White.
Crash powerslams Lynn out of the corner. 1-2-kickout
by Jerry. Crash works a standing surfboard and
then follows with another near fall. Lynn comes
out of the corner with a rolling prawn hold for
two, but Crash comes back with a German suplex
for a near fall of his own. Crash slows it down
with a seated surfboard and then scores another
two count. Back to the surfboard and Crash adds
some knees this time. Lynn fights up, drives in
the right hands a scores a roll up for two.
Another Lynn roll up leads to FIVE reverses and
pinning combinations. Nice. Lynn scores a German
suplex of his own for a very close fall. From
there, Lynn goes for a tornado DDT out of the
corner, but Crash counters him away and scores
exactly that move to score the pin. I know who
SHOULD'VE won this match. He didn't. Good match
though.
-HERE is YOUR Winner: Crash
Kelly throws to Jonathan Coachman, who hypes King
of the Ring from Slam Jam and Chris Benoit
threatens Steve Austin's title and career in a
taped promo.
