GARDENING, SOUTHERN STYLE
All Southern women grow tomatoes(aka maters) and have a flower bed. I don't care if she hates 'em and wouldn't eat 'em with your mouth - she's gotta grow 'em. Then she's going to force them on anybody who stops by so she doesn't have to can the dang things. Waste not, want not - LOL
All Southern women have a flower bed. That's so she can brag on how pretty her buttercups & petunias are this year. And offer them to friends and neighbors who can't stand the stinking things but have to take them - otherwise it would be bad manners.
I have started growing a little ole cactus rose bed out back so I have gifts for those who depress me.
