Welcome to DUNGIVEN AND THE SURROUNDING AREA A website constructed to promote the history, landmarks, tradition and features of the Dungiven area, a town in North Co. Derry Northern Ireland. Though simple and quiet the town seems, it is quite the opposite for it has unique features and history with a wealth of original folk stories, songs and tradition. Dungiven has a vibrant character with such landmarks as the River Roe, Pellipar House and Estate, two castles, a beautiful mountain and further from the town old historical churches, glens and nature reserves, a beautiful dam and much more.
