DUNGIVEN TOWN Formerly known as Baile an Mhullaigh (Ballymully), Dungiven town lies in the heart of the Sperrins perched neatly in the middle of castle, glen, river and mountain. It is thought that the name Baile an Mhullaigh was given to the town because it meant Hilltown, and that at the time it was named was the time of O' Cahan. You see, the former position of the town, many years ago (O' Cahan days) is thought to have been at Priory Lane, at the entrance to the Old Priory, which would have been on a hill. This is only a possibility. As you will have seen from the contents of this website, the town is steeped in culture, history and beauty. But maybe you aren't at all that interested in this, what else has the town got to offer for entertainment etc? Here's EVERYTHING that Dungiven has to offer: Accommodation Bars
Restaurants
& Food Leisure Shopping Services
