Necromancers are probably the most overlooked race in the Diablo II world. With the right equipment a necromancer, I discovered that my pvp necromancer could easily overtake a sorceress, barbs, pallys, and druids. But a player vs player necro can be very costly to get him to be powerful.
The pvp necromancer will need to have a lot of resistance and a lot of health to survive combat. It will need max resistance and strong defense also. Using "UM" Shaft or Tals armor (if you are not using wizard spike), will make combat alot more smooth. The best types of wands for the pvp necro would be Whites (it's a runeword, and it has +3 to psn and bone skills and faster cast, +3 to bone armor) or Wizard Spike (for a lot faster cast rate and strong resistances).
A Harlequin Shako would be the best helm for a pvp necro. THE Trang-Oul IS NOT THE BEST CHOICE FOR PVP.You should also use a homunculus for your shield, or a storm shield with less requirements, but storm shield requires a lot of strength, which pvp necro's shouldn't invest on unless they are going to be over level 90. Trangs-oul gloves are ideal for the faster cast.
A big Need for ALL pvp necro's are Health charms and A LOT OF POISON AND BONE CHARMS! You will need at least 4-7 poison and bone charms for your spells to be overtakingly powerful (but it's worth it). Player vs Player necromancers should have at least 800 health.
Here are some solid stats for a strong pvp necro, about level 80, and with NO +STAT POINTS ON
- Strength-90
- Dexterity-20 (if you want to use wizard Spike, get the dex for wiz spike, or just use a hel rune to greatly reduce the dexterity requirements.)
- Vitality-150
- Energy-100 (if you are going to use 2 stone of jordans your mana will be increased by 40% which would double your mana)
Skills to Max: Bone Spirit, Bone armor, Max or just put a lot of stats into Poison Nova, and put a little into all of your Curses, but try to put more into Iron Maiden for Barb dueling (Let the barbs whirl wind into your bone walls to kill them)
Try to stay away from Golems, they are just good leaching material, unless you want to be a good barb dueler and have an iron golem, but I still say stay away from them, they are just leaching material, just use a clay golem (clay golems Cannot Be leached off of. Use Corpse Explosion as your cowing spell, but with all your skill points into poison and bone, there is no need to max it, only put 1-3 points into it and let your Mass of Plus skills do the rest of the magic
If you need anything else about the PVP necro email me, or if you want to submit your own character just email me and i'll post it giving you Full Credit for it. |
