The Player vs. Player Zon is usually described as the most fiercest and strongest pvp character in diablo II.
The best strategy for pvp would be to have a powerful bow (a buriza is very useful), solid defense (damage reduction, shaft+gaze+string gives a good amount), at least higher than 700 health, and poison damage (around 800 can take most players down fairly well)is very useful for player vs player combat.
Player vs Player zons will need Health and Dexterity overall to rule in pvp. Skills like dodge and things that increase your chance of dodging shots from other zons and combat fighters. Of course guided is an essential for pretty much all pvp zons. Also Multi shot can work quite well if your opponent is running from your guideds, and it is also the best way of cowing/questing using a bow.
Here are a basic list of strong Pvp Zon stats I have found around from many players using pvp zons
Stats for about level 85 (with a minimum of +stats on)
160 strength
290 dexterity
160 Vitality
25 Energy
**if you lack stat points to use an item, etc. then try using a mara koliedoscope ammy, saracens, mahim-oak curio (also has the 10% attack rating bonus whcih is useful) Also remember to do your 5 stat point quest in every difficulty in act3

Diablo II News: Users await the new patch fixing dupes, weakening and giving more power to skills, and giving new items and giving items modulations that are found after the patch is released, which is scheduled to come out in Late November.
