Joseph Anthony Fatone Jr. aka Joey was born on January 28, 1977 in Brooklyn, New York where he grew up. When he was 13, his family relocated to Orlando, Florida. Joey graduated from Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando where his favorite subjects were drama and chorus (singing AND acting huh!). He loves to perform, whether it's singing OR acting. He was in many productions in school, including MacBeth, Damn Yankees, and Guys and Dolls. Some people may know him as the Wolfman at Universal Studios.
Joey is an easy-going, down-to-earth guy. He gets along with everybody and he likes to make people laugh. Whenever one of the other band members are down, Joey's there to cheer them up!
Joey's favorite movies are My Life and Billy Madison. I heard that he had a little part in My Life with Robert DeNiro but I could be wrong. (If anybody out there has any information on this, please E-mail me!!!)
His biggest music influence, he says, is his dad. He used to sing in a group called the Orions but they were never famous. Nonetheless, they were Joey's inspiration. They used to do 50's tunes which was Joey's first musical influence. He also likes Boyz II Men and his favorite song is "Water Runs Dry".
Joey is a very ambitious person and he puts all his effort into performing, but when he finds time in his busy schedule to relax, he usually ends up playing video games (with Lance maybe?). He likes to kick back and relax during his off time, but don't let him fool you! He's a party animal! He likes to go out clubbing and busting out his moves on the dance floor! (That's how he met with the other guys, after all!).
For Joey, his idea of a perfect date would be, "a casual dinner and a movie with someone who is outgoing, trusting and has a great sense of humor." So get your acts together out there ladies! This one is a definite catch!
Joey doesn't like sports much but he DOES go in-line skating with the rest of the guys for exercise. I can't believe it...he looks so naturally athletic but even he says he doesn't like sports and he can't play sports. But hey, I've seen pictures of him on a surfboard. What does that mean? Was that just for a photo shoot? Guess we'll never know!
Joey has a new look for 1998. He now has a goatee (yaay!). He looks MUCH better - although he looked really cute without it too. He looks a little bit older and looks even more flirty with it. Is it even possible? =O) He also has an eyebrow ring. (Whoa!) I heard that Joey had to fight hard to get this - and I'm sure I speak for EVERYBODY out there when I say, JOEY, I'M GLAD YOU WON! It looks sooooo dope! I have to admit, I didn't see it when I met him...but it looks good anyway.

Some 411 you might wanna know about Joey:

He lives at home with his parents in Orlando - only 5 minutes away from the other guys!
Even though he lived at home with his parents he was always staying with the other guys that he practically lived there!
Joey loves Superman memorabilia and he collects anything from t-shirts to jewelry. (So ladies, that's a hint for a b-day present! Too bad his b-day has passed!).
He loves to go clubbing and busting out his moves on the dance floor. (If you saw him perform at MTV Live in Times Square (it was televised), you'd know what I'm talking about. That boy can move! I especially loved the part towards the end when they kinda scoot up towards the front - the way they moved their shoulders and hips - mmmm mmmm mmmm! If you didn't get a chance to see it, find someone who taped it (like I did) or else you just missed one of their best shows! (My opinion of course!) Although nothing ever beats seeing them LIVE!!!).
He hates fake people. So you gotta keep it real with this guy!!! =O)
Besides skating, he's useless at sports. Can you believe it? This guy looks soooo athletic. I would never have guessed!
The best thing for Joey about being in a band is the travel. He loves visiting different places and meeting new people.
He used to have really strong feelings for a girl in high school named Dinay but he wasn't in love with her. They went out for 4 months but split up when she moved away to college.
Joey wants to have a one-on-one with William Shakespeare so he can talk to him and find out what he (Shakespeare) was thinking about when he wrote his plays.
Joey loves lasagna! Yaay my favorite! He says that nothing could ever top his mom's cooking.
His ideal woman is a "fun girl with a great personality who enjoys company, honest, can take a joke and likes going to the movies. I like girls who aren't afraid to speak their mind. I don't really have a type, I like women with long hair, ginger hair, red hair, dark hair - it doesn't matter!" (I guess Joey just loves all types of women, huh? Well no problem. Lots of women love Joey...'nuff said).
Joey's favorite Spice Girl is Geri because, in Joey's words, "I find her really appealing. She looks good and she's nice too, I've met her a couple of times. She's more outgoing and outrageous which I like."
His job in the band, besides singing and dancing and flirting, is to cheer the other guys up when they're down.
His favorite word is burrt. Is that even a word? It seems like some sort of sound a person can make when...never mind. He says it doesn't really mean anything. You just say it really loud. (Maybe it's his way of annoying people?).
Joey has the title of "Biggest Flirt". That was a given. His secret? "I'm always happy. I'm the flirtatious, happy-go-lucky one of the band. If someone's down I try to get them in a good mood - that's my charm! I have to look on the bright side of everything." Well, good for you Joey. =O)
On his dates, Joey likes to wear something interesting and different because he doesn't want to look like anybody else. (That's kinda hard to imagine!).

WHEN ASKED ABOUT THE TYPE OF JEWELRY JOEY WEARS, HE REPLIES:
"I'm completely covered with all this Superman stuff. This Superman earring I got from Lance for Christmas three years ago. That 'N Sync ring was a present from a girl when I was in high school. My earrings are from my friend and I always wear them! This Superman bracelet I bought at the Warner Brothers Store in Orlando...um do I need to tell about this watch and necklace..??"
