So many things are needed to help South Florida Rescue help & save the animals in need. Unfortunately, we cannot do this alone, we need help, we need your help.
South Florida Rescue consists of just the two of us~Wesley & Heather. We work as hard as we can to help the thousands of animals in need, but it is extremely hard when Wesley works full-time and I am a full-time college student.
South Florida Rescue is a Non-Profit, Non-Kill Animal Rescue Organization. We are not "incorporated" yet which means that we cannot fundraise money to help these animals, we have to rely soley on donations. This is where you can help us. This is our Rescue Wish List. Listed below you will find the many things that we are in desperate need of to help these abused & neglected animals. Won't you take the time to read over our wish list and email us if there is something that you can help with.
FOSTER HOMES DESPERATELY NEEDED!! We currently work out of our home & therefore the number of animals we can take in & foster are limited. If you can open your home & foster an animal it would be wonderful and one of the best gifts that you could give to an animal. Even if you've never been a foster parent or if you've never had animals, if you're willing, we can show you what to do and tell you what to expect. We will be with you every step of the way. Fostering an animal is one of the most rewarding things you can do.
FAX MACHINEWe are in need of a fax machine to help us coordinate events with other rescue organizations & individuals. A fax machine would also help us in getting adoption information out to prospective adoptors.
BUSINESS CARDS Business cards help us spread the word about South Florida Rescue and what we do. They cost about $23.00 per thousand.
DOG/CAT TOYS/BLANKETS/CRATES/FOOD These of course are essential! Dog toys, blankets, dog crates, dog dishes...etc....are such an important part of making the rescued dogs feel right at home while we find them a permanent home. All our dogs are feed Pro Plan Dog Food which usually costs $25.00 for a 40-pound bag. We buy dog food at least every three weeks.
DONATIONS Donations are desperately needed and are used for a variety of expenses. All proceeds raised through donations go to help the animals. There are no employee fees and no administration fees to pay. Just look at what as little as $5 can buy: $5 can buy: $5 can buy:15 cans of cat food,Or 10 cans of dog food, Or 7 pounds of dry cat food Or 10 pounds of dry dog food, Or 20 pounds of kitty litter, Or 1 pound of dog chews Or 1 litter box, Or 2 pet toys.
