The band has had alot of changes since they were formed in June 2001. The initial band didnt have a singer, but Ed, Dave and Ping were accompanied by Dan Richards as rythm guitar. Due to his inability to turn up to practices the other members looked around for a singer and a rythm guitarist. These holes were filled by Phil Haslam. They spent the summer of 2001 playing music such as the red hot chili peppers until they got their break. They performed in front of roughly 200 people, playing Under the Bridge and Scar Tissue. They received a tremendous reception and things looked good. Unfortunately Phil, despite not leaving the band, he rarely attended a practice. This prompted a swift change as the band recruted Matt Dean(former singer of Legacy). This was probably the bands best time together as they went to work creating their own work as well as covering various songs. The commitment of Matt though was always questionable as his former band had folded, but resurfaced again around October. The bands fears came true as Matt started practicing with his former band Legacy. This caused Veto to once again search for a rythm guitarist. As there was no one immediately available Dave proceeded to coach up their roadie Tom. He picked up the guitar quickly but wasn't quite confident enough when it came to performing. Then around November time, the opertunity arose to perform at school. As Tom still was not confident enough to play they had to look to Phil once more and revive their ways by trying a christmas version of the Buffy theme tune. This went disasterously wrong. There was a technical problem with Phils amp and it caused all the members to start at the wrong time. They carried on but it left a scar in their minds till this very day. Phil left the band shortly after this event and the other three carried on. As Tom became more confident the band moved into the studio to begin working on their own music. Since then they have produced roughly 5 songs of their own, 2 of which are completely finished. Then on 5th of July Matt Dean returned to practice with Veto after having a minor dispute with hi band, Legacy. They continued together producing the best music so far, until the 10th of July when Matt 'Butch' Dean decided to join Veto again as Matt and the members of Veto realised how much fun it was to once again play music together. Their music is continuing to improve with Matt rapidly bringing forth another song of their own and now the guys are looking forward to producing more music together.
