Write to your governor and let him know that
you are not happy with the status of your state's sex offender registry. We
cannot tolerate not having easy access to this registry (especially due to the
fact that child molesters only have a one percent recovery rate ... which means 99
percent will get out of prison only to molest another child).
We not only want a sex offender registry online but we want all sex offenders
listed on that registry - not just upper level crimes. It is proven that sex
offenders become increasingly violent with each consecutive crime. The first
crime may be quite mild (if this crime can be mild), but the next time around
the victim may even die. That is why only having persons who have committed
upper level offenses posted is unacceptable. Let's
come together and require each and every state to have an internet site and free
public access of all convicted sex offenders.
