Welcome to Anti-Establishment! This is a little section where we can reveal the corruption of big companies and software stores. Ever wonder why the Babbages employee's never mention anything new about Dreamcast now that the PS2 has arrived? You'd be damn lucky if you even heard the name "N64" come out of one of those pimp slapped cake holes. Did you ever ask them what really makes the PS2 better than the Dreamcast? If they answer DVD player then you have the right to kick them in the junk. When I call them on the phone all I hear is, "Welcome to Babbages this is 'insert shallow corporate bitch name'. Would you like to reserve a PS2?" I never hear, "Welcome to Babbages, would you like to reserve Samba De Amigo or Banjo-Tooie?" Sorry folks but the truth is that software stores are a fickle environment. How does a store manager sell a copy of a terrible game such as Superman? Well they wait until a parental figure shows up looking to by their little Timmy an Xmas present. Do you ever wonder why games like Tomb Raider, Army Men and Spec Ops are actually selling well? It's because software stores don't inform the misinformed. Why will the PS2 really succeed? Because parents want to get their kid the biggest newest toy although they have no idea what game to look for. So why aren't parents bringing home little Timmy a brand spankin new DC with "NFK2K1" and some extra controllers? Why doesn't Molly get a new N64 with "Hey You, Pikachu!" for her birthday? It's simple my friends. Software stores simply will not inform their customers of what to buy. Think of it like you are the manager of a Software Etc. It's the end of August and you have to clear space for the PS2 arrival so you tell all the people who walk in the store about the new "Sno-Cross Chamionship Racing" game for the PSX. Or maybe you have a few "Snydey 2000" game paks lying around so you tell the grandparent that since the Olympics are right around the corner young Fredrick might need a copy. Seriously folks it's that easy. When we let those irresponsible punks sell those terrible games it only means that there will be plenty more where they came from. What do think will happen when Take2Games notices it's line of "Spec Ops" games are selling? Well then you can prepare for Spec Ops 2 folks. It's sad but true. Stop the madness and stop the bad service. If you are going to buy a PS2 don't let them fool you into buying "Eternal Ring". At least get one of the quality games for the system such as Ridge Racer V or Tekken Tag. PS2 will be a good system but for all the wrong reason's I'm afraid.
