I never knew, when you lost your child, Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born. Where does Mom keep her memories? It takes strength to be firm, It takes strength to stand guard, It takes strength to conquer, It takes strength to be certain, It takes strength to fit in, It takes strength to feel a friend's pain, It takes strength to hide your own pains, It takes strength to endure abuse, It takes strength to stand alone, It takes strength to love, It takes strength to survive,
Dear God, Dear God, Dear God, Dear God, Dear God, Dear God, Dear God, Dear God, Dear God, Dear God, Dear God, If I could catch a rainbow A little boy was overheard talking to himself If tomorrow morning the sky falls... Never trust a dog to watch your food. When you want something expensive, Never smart off to a teacher Wear a hat when feeding seagulls. Sleep in your clothes Never try to hide a piece Don't flush the toilet Never ask for anything that costs Never bug a pregnant mom. Don't ever be too full for dessert. It is so important to hold onto MEMORIES!
Just stop and think of the things found
on this entire site, and remember when.
what you were going through.
I wasn’t there, I stayed away,
I just deserted you
I didn’t know the words to say,
I didn’t know the things to do.
I think your pain so frightened me,
I didn’t know how to comfort you.
Then one day my child died.
You were the first one there
You quietly stayed by my side,
Listened, and held me as I cried
You didn’t leave,. You didn’t go,
The lesson I learned is….
Now I know.

You were turning into your mother.
Summer camp is dangerous.
Summer camp is wonderful.
Dunking Oreo's is messy.
To remember to be the tooth fairy tonight.
That they
actually want my leftovers.
You are on your own at age 18.
Teething lasts about 8 years.
They are never too old for a hug and a kiss.
Bribes do work.
This must be a phase.
Kept the cookie jar full.
Put ALL the pictures on the fridge.
Let them keep that kitten.
Took off the training wheels.
Buy all types of stain removers.
Tucked them in and said their prayers.
Told them to brush their teeth.
Told them to wash both sides of their hands.
Bought fancy birthday cakes.
Cried when Frosty the snowman melted.
Put cheese in the middle of the hot dogs.
Sewed on girl/boy scout patches.
Let them play with the box instead of the toy.
Told your girl to be a doctor and not a nurse.
Told your boy to be a nurse and not a doctor.
Let them lick the spoon and eat cookie batter.
Bought the chunky kind.
Worry, worry, worry.
Called them every Sunday after they moved.
Accepted ALL collect phone calls.
Tore up the IOU.
Made ice-cube jello.
Put dandelions in a vase.
Made daisy chains.
Covered up your fear of snakes and spiders.
and Tooth Fairy.
That iodine really hurts and stings.
Unmade beds will airout the sheets.
You threw out that favorite pacifier.
You threw out that favorite blanket.
The washing machine doesn't eat blankets.
That you are too young to be a grandma.
You helped blow out the birthday candles.
That they were a late bloomer.
NOT to bring home dirty laundry.
You also hated puberty,
and had zits just like theirs.
You made up some of those stories.
You DO NOT have eyes in the back of your head.
You hate Barney.
You didn't need a new nightgown every Christmas.
"What is fair for one is fair for all"
"All is well and fun till an eye gets poked out"
"Don't drink out of the milk carton"
"NO, to a cat or a dog"
"Wait till Daddy gets home"
"Eat your bread crust, it makes your hair curly"
"DO it or else"
"There are NO monsters under your bed"
"Go potty before putting on snow suit"
"Super Sugar Crisp is not a healthy meal"
"STOP sucking that thumb"
"Because I said so"
So one day he asked God:
They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow
but how am I going to live there
being so small and helpless?
Among the many angels, I chose one for you.
She will be waiting for you
and will take care of you.
But tell me, here in Heaven,
I don't do anything else but sing and
smile, that's enough for me to be happy.
Your angel will sing for you and
will also smile for you every day.
And you will feel your angel's love and be happy.
And how am I going to be able
to understand when people talk to me,
if I don't know the language that men talk?
Your angel will tell you the
most beautiful and sweet words you will
ever hear, and with much patience and care,
your angel will teach you how to speak.
And what am I going to do
when I want to talk to you?
Your angel will place your hands together
and will teach you how to pray.
I've heard that on earth there are bad men.
Who will protect me?
Your angel will defend you
even if it means risking its life.
But I will always be sad because
I will not see you anymore.
Your angel will always talk to you about me
and will teach you the way
for you to come back to me,
even though I will always be next to you.
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven,
but voices from earth could already be heard,
and the child in a hurry asked softly:
Oh God, if I am about to leave now,
please tell me my angel's name.
Your angel's name is of no importance,
you will call your angel:
Mommy

A sweet little boy surprised his grandmother
one morning and brought her a cup of coffee.
He had made it himself and was so proud.
He anxiously waited to hear the verdict
on the quality of the coffee.
The grandmother had never in her life
had such a bad cup of coffee, and as she
forced down the last sip
she noticed three of those little green
army guys in the bottom of the cup.
She asked "Honey why would three little green
army guys be in the bottom of my cup?"
Her grandson replied, "You know Grandma...
'the best part of waking up,
is soldiers in your cup'."
In a box worn beyond repair,
Tucked inside are memories,
Ask and she will gladly share.
Tattered Valentines "To Mommy With Love,"
Papers boasting "Good Work... Well Done!"
A hand print small and fragile,
Blue ribbons proudly won.
Macaroni shells that once formed a flower,
A baby picture smudged with kisses,
The first tooth the Fairy spared,
Cards of IOU's and loving wishes.
Where does Mom keep her memories?
In a box this precious cargo rests
Reminiscent of days long past,
This box of love is her treasure chest.

It takes courage to be gentle.
It takes courage to let down your guard.
It takes courage to surrender.
It takes courage to have doubt.
It takes courage to stand out.
It takes courage to feel your own pain.
It takes courage to show them.
It takes courage to stop it.
It takes courage to lean on another.
It takes courage to be loved.
It takes courage to live.

If you watch me in church Sunday,
I'll show you my new shoes.
Did you mean for the giraffe to look
like that or was it an accident?
Who draws the lines around the countries?
Please send me a pony.
I never asked for anything before.
You can look it up.
If we come back as something,
please don't let me be Jennifer Horton,
because I hate her.
I want to be just like my daddy
when I get big, but not with so much
hair all over.
I think about you sometimes,
even when I'm not praying.
I bet it is very hard for you
to love all the people in the world.
There are only four people in our family
and I can never do it.
Of all the people who worked for you,
I like Noah and David the best.
My brothers told me about being born,
but it doesn't sound right.
They are just kidding, aren't they?
We read Thomas Edison made light.
But in Sunday school, we learned
that you did it.
So I bet he stole your idea.
I would do it just for you
And share with you its beauty
On days you're feeling blue.
If I could build a mountain
You could call your very own
A place to find serenity
A place to be alone.
If I could take your troubles
I would toss them in the sea
But all these things I'm finding
Are impossible for me.
I cannot build a mountain
Or catch a rainbow fair
But let me be what I know best
A friend that's always there.

as he strode through his backyard,
baseball cap in place and toting ball and bat.
"I’m the greatest baseball player
in the world." he said proudly.
Then he tossed the ball in the air,
swung and missed.
Undaunted, he picked up the ball,
threw it into the air and said to himself,
"I’m the greatest baseball player ever!"
He swung at the ball again, and again he missed.
He paused a moment to examine
the bat and ball carefully.
Then once again he threw the ball
into the air and said,
"I’m the greatest baseball player who ever lived."
He swung the bat hard and again missed the ball.
"Wow!" he exclaimed. "What a pitcher!"

Remember The Night Rainbow
have clouds for breakfast.
If night falls...
use stars for streetlights.
If the moon gets stuck in a tree...
cover the hole in the sky
with a strawberry.
If you have butterflies in your stomach...
ask them into your heart.
If your heart catches in your throat...
ask a bird how she sings.
If the birds forget their songs...
listen to a pebble instead.
If you lose a memory...
embroider a new one to take its place.
If you lose the key...
throw away the house.
If the clock stops...
use your own hands to tell time.
If the light goes out...
wear it around your neck and go dancing.
If the bus doesn't come...
catch a fast cloud.
If it's the last dance...
dance backwards.
If you find your socks don't match...
stand in a flowerbed.
If your shoes don't fit...
give them to the fish in the pond.
If your horse needs shoes...
let him use his wings.
If the sun never shines again...
hold fireflies in your hands to keep warm.
If you're afraid of the dark...
remember the night rainbow.
If there is no happy ending...
make one out of cookie dough.
