currently waiting for organs.
There are over 62,000 individuals who are
on the national waiting list for vital organs.
On average, 12 individuals on the national waiting list
die every day.
A new name is added to the national waiting list
every 16 minutes.

United Network for Organ Sharing
Every 16 minutes, a name is added
to the national organ transplant waiting list.
This page is dedicated to the 60,000 patients
waiting, and the donor families
who have shared the gift of life.

Health Resources & Services Admin.
Each day about 55 people
receive an organ transplant,
but another 10 people on the waiting list die
because not enough organs are available.
