Note from Grace: Nothing earth shattering happened so this summary is pretty short. So I decided to summarize this book in a table. Find your favorite characters name and it will tell you what happened to him/her in the book!
Elizabeth Wakefield
Liz showed up twice in this book she really didn't do much. She apologized to Maria who accepted and she was depressed over Conner that was it. (Not a good Liz lover book)
Jessica Wakefield
Jess was in a play with Maria and Tia. She started getting secret admirer gifts which at first she thought were from Jeremy(than she found ou they weren't) Later Maria said it might be some guy in the play named Charlie so Jess asked him and he said no. the last gift was two tickets to a concert so Jess decided to go along with Tia nad Liz. Here secret admirer was none other than Will Simmions!

Conner McDermott
Conner invites Andy, Will, Ken, Angel to the track and he says he doesn't want to talk abot Liz. He also shows up at the play and sits 3 seats away from Liz.
Ken Matthews Throughout the whole book Ken is supporting and standing up for Maria. He actually sits with her and her friends at lunch and he hits it off right away with Andy. At the end of the play he comes up to Maria and gives her a dozen red roses and brings her dad.

Andy Marsden Andy makes jokes as usual and he gives Maria carnations at the end of the play.

Angel Desmond Angel gets another job this one at The Riot. He's worried about how expensive college will be (he should be) anyways on top of all that his anniversary is coming up. When Angel goes to the track he wins $300.00.

Tia Ramieriz
Tia is shocked when she finds out that Angel has another job. She can't believe that they will hardly be spending anytime together. Tia is also in the play with Maria and Jessica
Jeremy Aames
Jeremy's dad gets a job and he can't wait to tell Jessica about it.
Melissa Fox Melissa goes to school and everyone is talking about her.
Will Simmions Will is Jessica's secret admirer
Maria Slater Maria is stunned when the director of the play calls herto be the lead she's happy when her parents say she is great acctress. She also jelous of her sister Nina though. Maria feels that her parents think that Nina is perfect. Maria is coming home all excited when her parents tell her Nina won an award and they won't be able to make it to her play. Maria is devastated. She also starts acting conceited and everyone gets mad at her except Ken. By the end Maria apologizes and Ken brings her dad to play. Her dad tells her that he is with her and her mom is with Nina
