This book upset me for two reasons1. Will was in it and
2. Will was acting like a jerk like always
However since these summaries are supposed to be imparcial I'll pretend to not care...
UH OH
The book started where the other one ended. Not a really exciting book but still good here's what happened! Jessica was in shock when she saw Will of course she blew him off. Liz of all people was defending Will!(please view my rants and raves!) She felt kinda guilty so she went to see Jeremy who was happy to see her. Jessica saw him with his sisters and she was in awe of how great he was. Jeremy however knew something was wrong... Meanwhile Angel was at his job and his boss was treating him like... you know. Anyway he saw Conner and Conner was all defensive. Later on he asked Conner to the track. Conner was at home taking care of his mom. Conner knew something was up but he left it alone. He told Angel he wasn't interested in going again. Angel meanwhile rationalized that even if he lost he would still be ahead (go figure?)
Ken and Maria were about to start on their next project but Ken was feelin guilty. He knew that he had brought Maria's grade down but Maria told him not wo worry and she lent him her notes when he saw them he was in awe of her also a bit uncomfertable....
Surprise So the next day (or maybe it's the same day who really
knows how time works in Sweet Valley) Jessica is in school and some random Jock starts harrasssing Jess she became more determined to avoid Will since it was all his fault.
So Todd tells Will all about the kidnap which is a SVH tadition that the captains of the football team and cheerleading squad organize. Todd tells him to go ask Ken but Will (not being the brightest blub in the bunch) decides to ask Jessica anyway.. At that exact moment Angel is at the track he wins and calls Tia. He tells her he has a surprise for their anniversery. Meanwhile Maria and Ken (can I just say I like them as a couple they are so cute!) are at Ken's house. Maria can't believe that Ken has no sense of organization. Ken can't believe that Maria is so organized! So Maria decides that if they want to study together Ken needs suppiles.
Ah and now good news Mrs. Wakefield informs the Fowlers that there house will be ready in two weeks (again who knows how many books that'll be) Jessica gets excited and calls Jeremy to help her move boxes and things that she saved from the earth quake. She completly forgets she was supposed to meet Liz who gets a little hurt. While Jeremy is helping Jessica he cleans under her bed and finds the gifts that Will had given her. Jeremy decides not to mention it (again please go to my rants and raves!)
Melissa visits Will and tries to give him a chance to come back to her. He refuses than lies and says he has a date with Jessica on Friday!
Suppiles
At the office supply store Ken is all shocked at all the stuff he finds. When he and Maria leave Maria is all pensive about how she is a nerd. Ken trys to make her feel better and invites her to dinner(a non date)They go eat dinner at a Seafood place then they take a walk on the beach. They start running around and playing. She fell and he dangled a piece of sea weed over her face. He was so close to her and then he thought of Olivia and he moved away and told her that they should go.. When Ken gets home he writes a letter to Olivia here telling her he loves her and how now it hurts less. He tells her how he's confused. It's a touching letter!
Angel is getting dressed up for his dinner with Tia! He has his suit on! When he goes down his dad starts bugging him. Telling him why he's dressed up and that he should be saving everything and all this other bs Angel leaves all upset. Angel and Tia go to a very fancy restaurant Tia tries to just order salad but Angel feels embarrassed and makes her order the more expensive swordfish. Later when the bill comes he feels guilty about all the money he spent. ESPECIALLY when his dad tells him he's proud of him and apologizes!
Will finally says the truth
The next day Jessica is passing by some jock and they start bothering her untill Will stands up to all of them. Jessica is all happy because he finally told the truth. (well whoop dee do)So Jessica is all happy because jerko (oops) I mean Will defended her. Liz tells her see maybe Will isn't such a bad guy. Jessica says she's happy because she has clousure but secretly she wonders why she can't stop thinking about Will.
Jeremy's at work when Melissa walks in it takes him a while but he recognizes her. Melissa tells him that Jessica is going to see Will on Friday. Jeremy remembers the gifts he found. He doubts her and realizes that he has to talk to her. So when Jessica shows up Jeremy confronts her. Jessica tells him that she told Will she had a boyfriend. Jeremy gets a bit upset than he apologizes. Jessica says that she can't take people lying about her anymore. Jeremy tries to apologize but Jessica is hurt. When she gets home Liz explodes. Jessica blew her off again. Jessica is shocked to see Liz like that.
Setbacks
Ken and Maria are studying and Ken is going crazy in the libary. He talks to Maria about how much he misses football so Maria suggests he talks to the coach. Ken does but the coach tells him he doesn't like quitters
Jess is leaving and she see's Will. Will asks her if she'll help him plan the kidnap. Jessica is reluctant but than she says okay. She tells him that Tia should go since she is headcheerleader and he agrees. When Jess sees Jeremy she doesn't tell him that she's seeing Will. SO Angel is going to the track AGAIN. Conner trys to tell him that you don't win every time but Angel won't hear it he tells him that he'll meet Tia later.
Ken tells Maria what happened. Maria tells him that maybe he should just show up at practice dressed in his uniform. Angel is at the track he's lost and he can't take anymor money out. He decides to take a cash advance on the credit card his dad gave him. He figures he'll just put it back When he wins
The End
Ken takes Maria's advice. When he goes on the field all the SVH players are thrilled to see him and the El Carro ones aren't. Everyone seperates into two teams. When the coach sees this he tells Ken that the only thing he hates more than a quitter is someone who puts himself above the team! Will is all glad thinking that the team is better this way!
Jeremy sees a furniture magazine and thinks of Jessica. He calls and Liz tells him that Jess is at First and Ten. When Jess show up she finds out that Tia couldn't make it. Maria trys to warn her that it may not be a good idea but Jess disagrees. So Will and Jessica are having fun when in walks Jeremy. He tells her that Melissa told him about this and Jessica gets really pissed when she finds out he believed Melissa. Jessica tells him that she knows it looks bad but if he won't stay and listen to her that it's over. Jeremy walks out! Than Jessica looks at Will and tells him "Congratualtions WIll"
At the track Angel is at the bottom of the barrel. His horse is in front and he's glad he tells himself that he'll never put himself through this again. When out of nowhere another horse wins he stays there shocked. Suddenly Tia and Conner walk in. Tia gets pissed when she sees he lost money. Than he looks at her and tells her he lost all the money he had saved up!
