I’ve been lucky enough that my career with SAIC has taken me to places of the world that many people don’t get a chance to experience. Over the years my trips have included time in Norway, Colombia, Singapore, Australia, many cities in the US and on three occasions to India.
I am currently editing this web page on my laptop in my hotel room in Bangalore, India, where I will be working for the next three months or so (it’s currently mid October 2004).
The hours are long due to the fact that at the end of the India work day, the US and UK is just “waking up” so there will be many teleconferences until late at night which makes for lengthy days.
This balanced by the the exposure to the amazingly diverse Indian culture and everyday brings a new experience. From the fabulous range of food, both Indian and Chinese, to the amazing driving “techniques” and the unbelievable range of religions this is almost sensory overload even for a reasonably experienced traveler.
The pictures and captions below give only a flavor of the the place and the wonderful people as nothing compares to being here and experiencing it first hand..
