HEARING HIS VOICE
I am so thankful to the Lord that I can hear Him speak to me just as countless numbers of you are hearing His voice. I say to you, I believe that everyone who professes Jesus as their Lord and Savior can hear Him speak to you. A dear friend, when I would share something from the Lord, would say, "But He doesn't speak to me." I asked her to go into her quiet place and spend some time in prayer and in studying His Word and ask Him to speak to her. Also to record every thought that came into her mind and soon she was receiving wonderful messages from Him. Scripture tells us that the Lord is no respecter of persons and what He has done for one He shall surely do for another.

How precious it is to get alone with Jesus and express our love for Him, to thank Him for the assurance of His love for us, to praise and worship Him for does He not inhabit the praises of His people? Then to feel His presence with you and know that He is caring for you.

SUFFERING FOR HIM
O yes, our Lord allows suffering to come upon us but O how it brings us so much closer to Him and to a deeper intimacy with Him. My personal experience in the midst of suffering is that it has brought me into a place of trust...trusting Him with all my heart and leaning not on my own understanding. It has increased my faith in His healing power which has been manifested on occasion. Fear not to suffer for Him and receive His rewards.

WARRING IN THE SPIRIT FOR HIM
Know that as you begin to serve the Lord in the ministry He has chosen for you that you will suffer attacks from the enemy in every area of your life. Scripture tells us that we need not endure harrassment from him and that he has no power over us. Greater is He who is within us than he who is in the world. We must use the weapons the Lord has given us to come against him for our weapons of warfare are mighty to the pulling down of strongholds. I like to battle him with the Word, saying, "It is written."
