Of Eduard

"You mean others like me? Like my brother?" Eduard mumbles something to himself. Hadiya nods slightly. "Yes, Helltouched. You're a smart man, now tell me what I am." Eduard bristles slightly in his chair. "Everything in this world is hell-touched." Hadiya shakes her head. "Met with, influenced by perhaps.. but not actually Touched."
"As for what you are...you a pretty girl. Large and beautiful...whos asking the wrong questions to a man who doesnt have an answer." Eduard bristles again and stands up, looking you over Hadiya laughs, wincing, but unable to stop. "oh.. I'm sorry Eduard, you're not seeing me at my best.." She props herself up again* "Its bad enough I feel like an invalid.. I know right now I am one. Please.. talk." Eduard regards you quietly, watching, before slowly sitting back down. He then takes another drag off his flask, opens his mouth to speak a few times, then finally mutters "Im not much of a talker." Eduard thinks for a moment, regarding you with his scarred face, one eye a deep brown, the other eye, the one with the scar across his face, a dead blue.
Hadiya smiles. "I understand.. However you are a doer, and I respect that. And you have the grace to tell a woman she's pretty even though she looks like a side of beef." Eduard chuckles lightly and grins ever so slightly.

Eduard opens his mouth to speak a few times, before finally blurting out what he wants to say... "Just, dont worry about yourself. I promise you, no harm will come to you...whatever happens."

The door opens, and Eduard steps inside. He's dressed quite classier then usual, wearing a suit with tails, and a classy tophat. His boots appear to have been cleaned, and on his hips are his ever-present blades. In one hand, he carries a handsome cane His tail swishes behind him, idly, like a cats With his same flat facial expression, he looks at you and nods. "You look...lovely. Are you ready?" He says 'lovely' in such a way, he sounds as if hes afraid to say it, though he sounds quite sincere.

"Enough of the grim...I brought you here...to enjoy your company." Eduard offers you his arm and ever so slightly smiles. Hadiya's eyebrows lift compassionately. "You are a good man Eduard.. you will do what is right." She kisses him lightly and solemnly on the cheek. "I trust you." After you kiss him, he looks into your eyes a moment, saying nothing, seemingly lost in your beauty. You think you can detect the faintest hint of a tear welling up in his one good eye. For a moment, it looks like he's going to speak, but says nothing. Instead, he turns and gently escorts you into the crowd once more.

"Come, dear Hadiya...we've all the time in the world..." Eduard offers you his elbow, and gently escorts you deeper into the Carnivale.

Eduard stops you gently and turns to to face him Hadiya pauses and meets his gaze with a quiet sigh. "Hadiya...I don't claim to...understand...what you are. But...you truly are...very..." He pauses longer then usual, thinking. "..special to me." He puts his hands on your shoulders and looks at your face. "You are...a very beautiful girl, Hadiya. And...I'll admit. I am quite...taken...with you. If I were in a better...situation...and I didn't have...this..." He makes a brushing motion over his face. "...and you werent..." He trails off for a moment. "I'd ask you to be my wife. Like in a children's fairy-tale. But...life is not a fairy tale."

Eduard removes his top-hat and overcoat, and walks over to Hadiya, taking her hand and gently helping her to her feet. He smiles lightly and asks "May I have this dance?"
Hadiya stands carefully, watching Eduard. "And what does the golden crystal do.. Mr. Wickleberry?"
"You'll see, my dear!" Erwin says, and you hear a cranking noise behind you, followed by soft, beautiful sounds of a music box.
Hadiya laughs nervously. "I.. didn't do a lot of dancing on the farm Eduard.."
Eduard smiles, a true sincere smile... "Its okay...just follow my lead..." He puts one hand gently around your waist, and begins to lead you in a slow, simple dance...
Hadiya follows his lead as best she can, finding the rhythm and smiling, speaking softly. "At least we're equally impaired at the moment.." He just smiles softly, and closes his eyes, enjoying the moment..

Of Gregor

Hadiya smiles. "Tell me about your necklaces Gregor, I'm sure they have a story.."
Gregor holds up a pendant. "Ahh.. this one.. Is Mithias, Arch Angel of war, and protector to the lady.. and this one.. this one is Nadezdha, arch angel of mercy and hope.. Nadezdha I wear to give me hope, and to help me stay my hand when I grow angry..
Hadiya smiles and touches them each. "Surely you've not a temper on you after all these years?"
Gregor smiles shyly. "Her purpose is simply to guide me, and remind me to stay my hand until I have no other recourse.. Mithias reminds me that I am still a soldier, and sometimes, duty must come before personal desire."
Hadiya nods. "A man you have become indeed.."

Hadiya walks toward the pool, gazing into it quietly. "You remember how I told you about Grumble?"
Gregor. "Aye.. I trust your not about to tell me he reminds you of me, as well. Cause if so, im just gonna go home."
Hadiya laughs. "No.. I'm not sure even I could make a connection there.. but he was an honest fellow."
Gregor smiles and chuckles. "Thats something to be said, at least.. but what of him?"
Hadiya grins. "Well technically his was my first proposal.. Odd how things work out sometimes isn't it?"
Gregor smiles. "The first of many, Im sure..." Gregor smiles.. Odd would be one of many words..." He chuckles lightly.
Hadiya. "There's only ever one that matters you know.."
Gregor makes a nervous *gulp*.

"And I kept thinking about you, somewhere, out there, so strong and seinsible, but Ive seen so many horrible things Hadiya. The evils that men do, and worse. And all I could think was she coulda been someones Hadiya. ... But I never slept with her, she was never more then a friend to me. You're my girl, Hadiya, and you always have been."
~ * ~

"The lines men draw do not always dictate what should or should not be.. Not for me.. why should it be any different for you?"

Of Haun'nar

Haun'nar walks toward Hadiya in Eduard's garden in Kolya. Her white sleeves have been rolled up and she is casually tossing the weeds into a pile just up the row from her.
"I trust your chat with the good father went well?"
"Indeed."
Hadiya nods and smiles quietly. "And you've eaten?"
Haun'nar nods.
Hadiya continues pulling weeds. "And how are you feeling? Have you regained your strength? You've such a slight frame.. I worry."
Haun'nar nods. "I am fine, my slight frame holds surprising strength."
Hadiya smiles. "When it is well, yes. That is good to hear. I fear the good father is not yet well enough to make the journey north, but he will insist. We must be doubly strong to watch over him in this state."
"Indeed, he is most stubborn."
"I would not say stubborn.. but insistent." She grins. "The elderly are often so."
"Very true."
"But then, the same could be said for the young.. could it not?"
"For some of them yes."
Hadiya chuckles and tosses another handful of weeds into the growing pile. "I do so enjoy our chats Haun'nar."
