THE OLD SALT'S RECORD VAULT

Do you ever wonder what albums and bands your favorite rock stars are listening to? Here at Red Pepper and Ray, we decided to find out. We asked the members of Cindy Nahaeeka what CD's were currently in heavy rotation on their stereos, and here's what we came up with:

ROCKET BOY

1. HAPPY MONDAYS: Double Easy
2. BLUR: Parklife
3. STONE ROSES: Stone Roses
4. ROBBIE WILLIAMS (yes, that Robbie Williams): I've Been Expecting You
5. SUEDE: Coming Up
6. MANIC STREET PREACHERS: This is My Truth, Tell Me Yours
7. REM: Up
8. HOLE: Celebrity Skin
9. PLACEBO: Without You I'm Nothing
10. GOMEZ: Bring it On
11. FATBOY SLIM: You've Come a Long Way, Baby
12. AIR: Moon Safari

ROCKET BOY'S COMMENTS: "My penis itches. Will you scratch it for me?"

CHAD CADMIUM

1. DELERIUM: Karma
2. RAMMSTEIN: Sehnsucht
3. FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY: Reclamation
4. LAIBACH: Kapital
5. PORTISHEAD: Dummy
6. RUDIMENTARY PENI: Death Church
7. BEL CANTO: Shimmering, Warm & Bright
8. NEGATIVLAND: U2
9. DEAD CAN DANCE: Serpant's Egg
10. CONSOLIDATED: Play More Music

CHAD CADMIUM'S COMMENTS:
"Everyone knows that I'm an avid disco dancer, so I think my choices speak for themselves."

GREG ORION

1. SONNY ROLLINS QUARTET: Tenor Madness
2. CINDY NAHAEEKA: What Would Jesus Do?
3. BECK: Mutations
4. AIR: Moon Safari
5. CHARLIE PARKER: The Essential Charlie Parker
6. P J HARVEY: Is This Desire?
7. PLACEBO: Placebo
8. PLACEBO: Without You I'm Nothing
9. HAPPY MONDAYS: Pills 'N' Thrills and Bellyaches
10. MERCURY REV: Deserter's Songs

GREG ORION'S COMMENTS:
"Tenor Madness - Great record, best known for the title track featuring the dueling saxophones of Sonny Rollins and John Coltrane. A must have for any fan of pre-John Tesh era jazz.

Pills 'N' Thrills and Bellyaches - In light of the recent reunion of the Mondays in England, I thought it was time that I pulled this one of the shelf and gave it another spin.

Placebo - You gotta love those little pervs.

Mutations and Deserter's Songs - Two of the sweetest motherfucking records I've heard in a long time. Just when I thought I hated rock music, and was ready to become some techno and jazz guy or something, along come these radiant gems, staving off my wearing a big 'Cat in the Hat' Hat for a few more months at least."
