Trouble Shooting
Below are listed common problems with the Pro Lite & Carbine markers. Beneath each symptom, a number of possible causes are examined. Try the solutions listed here and if you continue to have problems, call the Tippmann technical support at 1-(219)-749-6022.
DOUBLE FIRING OR SHOOTING FULL AUTO
- Shoots continuously and stops after a second or two in the uncocked
position.
- Low or empty tanK
- Bad rear bolt o-ring
- Weak or damaged drive spring
- Linkage Arm is dragging
- Rear bolt is dragging
- Front bolt is dragging
- Damaged valve plunger seals
- Tank is too hot
- Valve is not adjusted correctly
SHOOTS CONTINUOUSLY AND WILL NOT STOP
- Bad sear spring
- Worn or bad sear
- Worn or bad trigger
- Worn or bad rear bolt
LEAKS AT TANK CONNECTION
- Bad tank o-ring
- Damaged or bad tank adapter
- Damaged or bad tank valve
LEAKS OUT THE BARREL
- Make sure gun is cocked
- Bad front seat o-ring
- Bad or damaged front plunger seal
- Gun valve stuck forward
- Gun valve not adjusted correctly
- Bad external valve o-rings
- Unlubricated external valve o-rings
- Damaged Receiver
LEAKS COMING FROM REAR BOLT AREA
- Bad rear plunger seal
- Bad rear seat o-ring
LEAKS NEAR THE UPPER GAS LINE CONNECTION
- Damaged gas line nut
- Bad Locktite seal on the valve fitting
LEAKS OUT THE BOTTOM OF THE LOWER RECEIVER
- Bad lower gas line connection
- Blown gas line
POOR ACCURACY
- Wet or oily barrel
- Bad paintballs
- Velocity is too high
- Bad or damaged barrel
BREAKS PAINTBALLS
- Damaged or stuck ball latch
- Bad paintballs
- Damaged or wet barrel
- Velocity is too high
INCONSISTENT VELOCITY
- Bad front bolt o-ring
- Valve is adjusted incorrectly
- Bad paintballs
NOTE: Siphon tank not recommended for the 68-Carbine
