. “Compassion” – Quite literally means
to “suffer along with”. It is an emotion derived from the inherent need in
all of us, to alleviate another’s suffering. I believe instilled in our
spirits from your Heavenly Father.
“Greater love has no one than this, that he
lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13
The greatest example of this is when Jesus died for us on the Cross.
Does it mean we are to die for our friends? Possibly, but even more, it means to
lay our daily lives down, put them on hold, to help a friend in need through
the compassionate act of service. Do we do this? Do you do this? We must do this to show the love and
compassion of Jesus Christ. –Marcus Straight, Nova Scotia. |
