My sexuality does not define me as a person. It is one very small aspect of who I am. Rather recently, my uncle found out that I'm gay. It shocked him at first, which is understandable. However, my uncle loves me unconditionally. My uncle is one of the truly nice guys in the world (along with my younger brother).
I'm also into things that "straight" people are into. For example, I love music, like most people. I have been playing the euphonium (bass clef) for 6 years now. I truly do enjoy it. Music is my one and only passion in life.
I also enjoy listening to music. I mostly listen to alternative. My favorite artists/bands include Sarah McLachlan, Jewel, Tori Amos, Alanis, Garbage, Melissa Etheridge, Metallica, The Mighty Mighty BossToneS, Matchbox 20, Collective Soul, Creed, Dave Matthews Band and more. At this moment, I am listening to Days of the New's debut album. It's really good. I can't wait to get their second album.
I dislike rap, R&B, and country. Artists/bands that I can't stand include Kid Rock, Beastie Boys, Limp Bizket (although I like "Rearranged"), Backstreet Boys (and all other boy bands), Brittany Spears, Spice Girls (and all other girl bands), and Ricky Martin (he thinks he's sexy when he's really not).
I write poetry. Mostly when I'm depressed. I have written over 120 poems since my freshman year in high school (I am now a senior).
I love math and science. They are exact. Two plus two is always four, oxygen always has eight protons, etc. I am striving to become a mechanical engineer.
I love to watch football. Today, both of my favorite teams won. The Detroit Lions defeated the Chicago Bears, and the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Miami Dolphins. My favorite player, Troy Aikman, even threw a beautiful touchdown pass to Rocket Ismail.
I also love RPGs. My favorite RPG of all time is Dragon Warrior III. It is a classic. I can't wait until Dragon Quest VII is released.
Some people think that Final Fantasy VII is the greatest RPG of all time. And it was good until the first disc was finished. Then it just sorta dragged on and on. There is a lot of hype over Final Fantasy VIII too. It's supposed to be a love story. However, I didn't find it to be any more of a love story than the other Final Fantasies (i.e., Aeris and Cloud in FFVII or Locke and Celes in FFIII).
