Paul and his Teachings

"Most Influential Men"

Recently, an American historical researcher and mathematician, Michael H. Hart, published a book: "THE 100, THE TOP HUNDRED OR THE GREATEST HUNDRED IN HISTORY." In his book he gives the names of the 100 "Most Influential Men in History" and his reasons for their positions in his list. Amazingly, he (most probably a Christian) puts Muhammad (peace be upon him) FIRST in his hundred, and with good reasons too. And with equally good reasons he places Jesus Christ (peace be upon him), the man accepted as "Lord" and "Saviour" by nearly all his fellow Americans number THREE.

Real Founder of Christianity

Though there are at moment half a billion more Christians than the billion Muslims, Mr Hart divides the credit for founding Christianity between Paul and Jesus, and he gives the greater portion to Paul. Hence he puts Paul at number TWO and Jesus at number three. Every knowledgeable Christian concedes that the real founder of Christianity is St. Paul and not Jesus Christ (peace be upon him).

Paul said that you cannot be justified by the law of Moses:

"Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that BELIEVE are JUSTIFIED from all things, from which ye COULD NOT BE JUSTIFIED BY THE LAW OF MOSES." [Acts 13:38-39]

Paul contradicted and blasphemed:

"But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, CONTRADICTING AND BLASPHEMING." [Acts 13:45]

The Jews tried to kill Paul because of what he preached and he spent much time in jail.

Paul says that God blotted out the handwriting which was contrary to us and nailed it to the cross:

"BLOTTING out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was CONTRARY to us, and took it out of the way, NAILING IT TO HIS CROSS; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it." [Colossians 2:14-15]

Paul is making an allegorical statement of the crucifixion of Jesus. In other words, what Paul is saying is that we do not have follow the words or commandments of God.

Paul announced a new doctrine which was not heard of before:

"...Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures." [1 Corinthians 15:3,4]

The reference made here to the scriptures are not the four Gospels because they were not yet written at the time when Paul started writing. Paul is referring to the Old Testament. He was the first man who began to write the New Testament. He wrote 14 different epistles, more than 50% of the New Testament. Therefore he makes his conclusions from the Old Testament that Jesus was risen from the dead. He says:

"And IF CHRIST BE NOT RISEN (from the dead), then is our preaching VAIN, and your faith is also VAIN." [1 Corinthians 15:14]

Paul admits that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead ACCORDING TO HIS GOSPEL:

"Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead ACCORDING TO MY GOSPEL" [2 Timothy 2:8]

Paul abandoned circumcision:

"For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision. Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?" [Romans 2:25-26]

"What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision" [Romans 3:1]

"Behold, I PAUL SAY UNTO YOU, that if ye be circumcised, CHRIST SHALL PROFIT YOU NOTHING. For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace." [Galatians 5:2-4]

Paul made lawful all of the creatures of the earth :

"If any of them that believe not bid you [to a feast], and ye be disposed to go; WHATSOEVER IS SET BEFORE YOU, EAT, ASKING NO QUESTIONS for conscience sake." [1 Corinthians 10:27]

I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean [Romans 14:14]

Paul taught that you SHOULD NOT WORK IN RIGHTEOUSNESS but only have faith in Christ:

"But to him THAT WORKETH NOT, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." [Romans 4:5]

"Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the WORKS OF THE LAW SHALL NO FLESH BE JUSTIFIED." [Galatians 2:16]

Paul was the first man to preach that Jesus Christ was the Son of God:

"And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God." [Acts 9:20]

The Jews tried to kill him:

"But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests? But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ. And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him: But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him. Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket." [Acts 9:21-25]

The disciples of Jesus were afraid of Paul and did not believe that he was a disciple:

"And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple." [Acts 9:21-26]

Paul on his own admittance being cunning, used deceit:

"But be it so, I did not burden you: nevertheless, BEING CRAFTY, I CAUGHT YOU WITH GUILE." [2 Corinthians 12:16]

WHAT DID JESUS (PBUH) SAY?

The disciple is not above the master

"The DISCIPLE is NOT above the MASTER, nor the servant above his lord." [Matthew 10:24].

Meaning that the disciples words are NOT HEAVIER than the words of the master (Jesus). So no matter what Paul or any of the other disciples of Jesus (pbuh) taught, their words cannot go against Jesus Christ because they do not have the authority. So if anything is said against Jesus' (pbuh) words, they have to be rejected.

Salvation only comes by keeping the commandments:

"And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, WHY CALLEST THOU ME GOOD? there is none good but one, that is, God: BUT IF THOU WILT ENTER INTO LIFE, KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS." [Matthew 19:16-17]

Jesus (pbuh) came not to change the law but to FULFILL:

"Think NOT that I am come to DESTROY the law, or the prophets: I am NOT come to DESTROY, but to FULFILL." [Matthew 5:17]

Therefore if you want to be a believer in Jesus Christ, then you have to follow the Old Testament as well.

"For verily I say unto you, TILL HEAVEN AND EARTH PASS, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, TILL ALL BE FULFILLED." [Matthew 5:18]

The law will not be changed till the Day of Judgment!

"WHOSOEVER therefore shall BREAK ONE of these least commandments, and shall TEACH MEN TO DO SO, he shall be called the LEAST in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall DO and TEACH them, the same shall be called GREAT in the kingdom of heaven." [Matthew 5:19]

According to the above verse, will Paul ever smell the fragrance of paradise?

"For I say unto you, That EXCEPT YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS SHALL EXCEED the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven." [Matthew 5:20]

Except you are better than the Jew, there in no heaven for you. Jesus (pbuh) taught his disciples how to be better than the Jew:

"Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly." [Matthew 6:16-18]

When the Jews used to fast, they used to put on a sad face and look dull so that when people saw them, they would say "look at those pious people, they are fasting". But Jesus tells them, No! Those people will get there reward alright. But when you fast, comb your hair, and wash your face, that you don't appear unto men that you are fasting. Do it only for the pleasure of Allah, who knows the secret and he will reward you abundantly.

Jesus (pbuh) said that people will worship him uselessly, following doctrines made by men:

"But in VAIN they do WORSHIP ME, teaching for DOCTRINES the commandment OF MEN." [Matthew 15:9]

If a man loves Jesus Christ (pbuh) he would follow him:

He that hath my commandments, and KEEPETH THEM, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be LOVED OF MY FATHER, and I WILL LOVE HIM, and will manifest myself to him [John 14:21]

"Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man LOVE ME, he will KEEP MY WORDS: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him." [John 14:23]

"He that LOVETH ME NOT keepeth not my sayings: and THE WORD WHICH YE HEAR IS NOT MINE, but the Father's which sent me." [John 14:24]

"And WHY CALL YE ME, LORD, LORD, and DO NOT THE THINGS WHICH I SAY?" [Luke 6:46]

Jesus (pbuh) destroyed 2000 pigs to heal one man:

And forthwith Jesus gave them leave (permission). And the unclean spirits (the devils) went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea. [Mark 5:13]

Old Testament forbids eating the flesh of swine:

"Of their flesh (of the swine) shall ye NOT EAT, and their carcase shall ye NOT TOUCH; they are UNCLEAN to you." [Leviticus 11:8]

"And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase." [Deuteronomy 14:8]

Jesus (pbuh) was circumcised on the eighth day, to fulfill the law:

And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb. [Luke 2:21]

Jesus (pbuh) said:

"Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (NOT BECAUSE IT IS OF MOSES, BUT OF THE FATHERS;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man." [John 7:22]

Old Testament makes circumcision to be an EVERLASTING COVENANT:

"He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money (your slaves), must needs be CIRCUMCISED: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an EVERLASTING COVENANT." [Genesis 17:13]

"And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be CUT OFF (be killed) from his people; he hath broken my covenant." [Genesis 17:14]

Paul's idea of not keeping the commandment is absurd. It's like saying "because we cannot follow one of the commandments of God, lets forget them all, lets follow none of them." "If we cannot follow one, then that would not make a difference if we followed all the others." Does this doctrine make any sense.

If faith is what saves a man, then why did Jesus (pbuh) again and again order his disciples to follow the law? He not only said this but set himself as an example to follow. Jesus (pbuh) was a very devout Jew. No Jew could ever raise a finger at him and say "why do you not observe the Sabbath?", "Why do you eat pork?", "why don't you do this", "why don't you do that" etc. Indeed, it is the apostles of Jesus and not Jesus himself who are depicted in the New Testament as violating the law. The Bible tells us that Jesus (pbuh) departed never having eaten pork, never having violated the Sabbath, divorce was disallowed except in adultery during his lifetime, he followed the law of Moses to the letter.

The Bible Gives Us The Reason For Unnatural Acts

There are millions and millions of gays and lesbians in the world, mostly in the western world, who are or were Christians. The Bible gives a reason why:

"Who CHANGED THE TRUTH of God into a lie, and WORSHIPPED and SERVED the creature (e.g. Jesus Christ) more than the Creator (God Almighty alone), who is blessed for ever. Amen. BECAUSE THEY DO THIS (worship the creation), God has given them over to shameful passions. Even their women pervert the natural use of their sex by UNNATURAL acts (like lesbianism and bestiality). In the same way, leaving the natural use of the woman, the men burn with passion for one another (as sodomites and homosexuals)." [The Good News Bible, Romans 1:25-27]

Is it quite amazing how Christians go around labeling others as Anti-Christ. They do not consider that the real Anti-Christs are they themselves. They do not follow a word of Jesus. They have totally abandoned the teachings of Jesus Christ (pbuh) but follow Paul, a man who had never seen Jesus Christ in his lifetime and who contradicted Jesus in every way of life.
