Grandmother Autumn

Grandmother Autumn represents the West direction of the Medicine Wheel. She symbolizes introspection, purification and healing. Just as plants and animals begin to pull their energies in during the autumn, it can also be a time of pulling in for humans as well. It is through this process of introspection, of honest humility, that we can begin to initiate purification and healing for ourselves.

Grandmother Autumn comes decorated with fall leaves and a thunderbolt. The thunderbolt represents the sacred Thunder-Beings and their powers of purification. She also comes with stones that assist with the healing lessons that come from the West: amethyst for the spirit, hematite for the mind, garnet for the body. and onyx which imparts strength during difficult times. A hand painted eagle plume acknowledges the sacred medicine from the West.
