Children were:Caroline Frances born 2/15/1830 died 6/15/1918, John W b abt 1832, Catherine B. b abt 1833, Samuel Clay b abt 1834 d 7/4/1910, Rebecca b abt 1835, Phoebe Ann b abt 1837, Martha G. b abt 1839, Suaan E. b abt 1840. My line is through Samuel Clay on the Mozingo side and Caroline Frances on the DeGarmo side. Caroline Frances married Hiram DeGarmo 8/30/1849

... Opinion Or Robert Mozingo was my ggggrandfather!! He was adopted by Charles Mozingo the second whose father immigrated to this country from France. Charles found the boy wandering around at about the age of 2 years. He took him home and raised him with his other childre. During this time they lived in Virginia.
Robert married Francis Utz and when his adopted father was supposedly dying Charles knew Robert wasn't allowed to be an heir because he was Native American. Charles told Robert to go and find land. Robert traveled until he reached the Ohio Valley and settled in a small place which was named Jinglevill which is out side of Wheeling, W.Va., near West Liberty. He liked this area because it was peaceful and not overly populated. He and Francis built a farm house on the land and are buried at the location of the farm house. It's located on Weidman's Run Rd. I've been there but I can't find where the farm was. My sister and I are going to look again when it warms up. Do you know what tribe Robert was from and what does his name Opinion mean? I was really excited when I saw your message!! I have an address about the book but no one has gotton back to me about it.
