According to Poole family lore, Anna was her father's favorite daughter. She attended school in Sashabaw and Waterford, but did not marry until she was 36 years old. By then, both her parents had died. She lived the last 15 years of her life living on the Wager family farm with her two children and got her picture in the newspaper (Pontiac Press) when she made her first airplane trip to Washington D.C. in 1940 at the age of 75.
