In the college, there are three main elements of Key Stage 3 Music - composition, performance and listening. | Teaching comprises of individual, group and whole class teaching. Pupils avail of practice rooms for group work. | |
The Music Department encourages learning through enjoyment. The department is very well resourced with tuned and untuned percussion instruments. ICT plays a big part in the curriculum of Key Stage 3 Music pupils. This is enforced through paired work on electronic keyboards. |
Key Stage 3 Music pupils have the opportunity to listen and appraise a wide range of music, from classical to popular contemporary styles. Irish Traditional and World Music is also included. |
