The Powerful Message
In the days we are now living, it is becoming increasingly difficult to discern between what is holy and what is unholy.Whether we realize it or not, there’s some things that we have to do in order to be ready for Jesus return. God is not going to do everything for us! Many believers don’t have a clue that the return of the Lord Jesus Christ is “imminent.” The word imminent is defined as, “Close in time; about to occur.” We have become mired down in the cares of this world and have opened ourselves up to much deception through the avenues of television & videos, video games, and music. As the demonic powers that are in control of much of these types of media begin to infiltrate our minds, the Word of God that was sown into our hearts, is replaced by another gospel!
Rom 12:1-2 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice--the kind he will accept. When you think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask? Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.
The first thing we need to understand is just what do we mean by holy? In both the Old and New Testaments, the Hebrew and Greek for the word holy means-A sacred place or thing, something consecrated or dedicated.
One of the words used to define holy is another word; sacred--devoted exclusively to a single use or purpose or person. So, we can say that for something or someone to be holy, it or they have to be set apart and devoted exclusively to be used by God.
These “ungodly ways” will open the door for evil spirits to enter into our life. Anytime we sin and don’t deal with it quickly, we will always give place to the devil, and he will never miss an opportunity to enter into our lives and set up house. This is a spiritual principle from Ephesians 4:26-27.
