Six-Month Update? 12-14-02

"Where the hell have you been?" is probably a questions that people are thinking as they read this, realizing that it's been six months since the last time that I've updated my web site. Well, I have few excuses, but many regrets, about not staying touch with people better or even updating this web site for that matter. Life is too short and friends are too important to not take the time to write or call.

My time in Music City has been wonderful so far. In colleges, I spent too much time trying to do so many things well, whereas post-graduation life has allowed me to hone in on a couple of things that I find rewarding, enjoyable, and challenging. Booking Dates and developing music artists! It isn't a job that is 8 to 5, and there are some days when it can be very frustrating and smothering. But the rewarding part is that we work with artists that talented, down-to-earth, and appreciative for the work that we do. And, on any given day of the college semester.......news students are being introduced to these performers and their music. That's the reward!

Thank goodness for the holiday season. It's an opportunity to reflect on the importance of family, friends, and the blessings that the past year has bestowed. I'm looking forward to heading back to the frozen tundra this weekend, as it's been a long time since I've seen my old crew.

To everyone reading this, I hope you have a safe and happy holiday season!

The Real World Won 06-08-02

He was sending me letters and post card, almost as often as an overdue credit card bill. Then he was leaving messages on my cell phone. When that didn't work, he would knock on my door. As much as I tried to avoid him, the real world has won, and I am now working in service of him.

A big, huge, gigantic "Howdy Y'all!" to everyone from Nashville. A lot has happened since I checked in over a month ago. Foremost, I'm no longer in the midwest. I'm now in the music capital of the USA, working for Wally's World. All is going well so far. We have a great team of hard working, dedicated people on board, and I think we can do some great things. My foremost thought about my job right now is that I never want to edit another promo video again! Well, at least not for a week or so!

Nashville itself is a great place to live, once you get past the thick accents of the locals. While there is plenty of country music here, it's actually a "melting pot" for all different types of music. The days are hot, but the evenings are gorgeous. There's nothing better than walking around downtown Nashville in the evening's because the weather is usually very tranquil. The summer Thursday activity of choice is to go to "a href="http://www.dancininthedistrict.com" Dancin' in the District. It's a free outdoor music event, held at a built-in ampitheater right on the Cumberland River.

So, I graduated on May 11th from NDSU. Does it feel like it? Not at all. I'm sure it will in August when I normally would be heading back to class. Do I miss my friends? ABSOLUTELY! That's the tough part about moving away from your home in order to benefit your career. At least I'll be back in Fargo around July 4th.

This week I'll be flying to Albuquerque to be the Best Man in my buddy Nate's wedding. I'm honored to be the Best Man, although a bit nervous. I don't know why yet. I guess I just think I'm going to screw something up somehow! Who knows? I'm so happy for Nate. He's got a great thing going in Colorado. We've all come a long way since those high school days when we thought we had the whole world figured out.

Well, I think that pretty much covers it for now. Check back later for more fun and frevality. Well, one out of two ain't bad!

At the Risk of Sounding Redundant.... 05-03-02

I've said it once, and I'll say it again "I can't believe how time flies!" Redundant? Yes, but it's so true, as I sit here having completed my last undergraduate class ever as a college student. What was I thinking about as I sat through the last five minutes of my Business and Professional Speaking course? Suprisingly enough, it wasn't about how overjoyed I am to not have to sit through another class. Instead, I began to think about all of people that I would be saying goodbye to in a few short weeks. What makes this transition so difficult is that I'll be 1200 miles away from home when I start my job with Wally's World in Nashville. In this day and age, however, distance can be conquered. Miles shouldn't AND WON'T interfere with friendships. When I think about my closest friends that I've made in college, I think of Dex (like a brother to me), Holly, Lea, Little Jay, and Gil. When I think of all of the other people that I've had the chance to spend time with, share experiences with, and benefit from, my mind is boggled. That is what college is all about. That's what life is all about, if you create the right atmosphere. All I know is that when I receive my degree on May 11, it won't be about the piece of paper itself. Rather, it will be about my family and my friends who have been with me through this whole process. I'm truly fortunate.......

It just dawned on me what May 11 is the seven month anniversary of. I now feel a bit selfish for looking forward to the 11th out of relief, when many people are so unsettled by personal trauma when they hear that date.

A lot has happened since my last post, so I'll try to keep this brief, with some random ramblings. Wisconsin NACA: What a blast! One day I'll have my own booth at a college entertainment conference and one of my artists will be receiving an award. And every school will want my act, not because that act does cover songs, but because they possess a gift of creating music that makes people crave more of what they have to offer. Working for Wally's World: Thanks for the opportunities this past year. Look out! Let's take some names and show the naysayers how serious we are. Easily Amused: Thank you for trusting me. Sunday nights (occasionally Mondays too) at BW3's: No matter how broke I am, these times really helped me get through this past semester. Here's to Spicy Garlic Wings, Dex(raises beverage). Bison Ambassadors: It's been real. Web Radio: Best of luck to everyone who is involved with it. I had a blast, and I can't wait to come back in a few years and visit an actual FM Radio Station at NDSU. Sorry for the half-assed effort as Pres. this past year. The Woman of My Dreams: Maybe I already know you. Maybe I've never met you. I know you're out there, and in the mean time, I'm not going to settle for second best. WWF: Been too busy to watch you every week, but please give me an incentive again. My comm. professors: I really enjoyed most of the classes that I took. Does that mean that I'm in the right field? A little too much redundancy, but overall, not bad.....not bad. You guys definitely go the extra mile.

Campus Attractions: Thanks for letting me stick around for three and 1/2 years. To everyone I've worked with, thank you for the memories and for making me think, challenge, and question myself a little more. To anyone who ever showed up for an event that I've helped put on, thank you for realizing that there's more to a college campus than going to class. To the 2001-02 CA Staff that I had the privilege of leading.....I simply wanted you guys to learn from and find reward in what you did as a CA Member. If you did, I'm ecstatic. If not, I'm sorry. Nonetheless, thank you so much for putting up with my excessive traveling of the nation. I know I could have done so much more for us as an organization, but my passion for the business interfered at times. I hope you understand. I've made my best friends through Campus Attractions, and you guys are my best friends. Thanks for the laughs, as well as the frustrations that forced us to learn and grow together. All Your Base Still Are Belong to Us....Bill Lumbergh Advisor Janine: Thanks for the phone call to my mom.

Band Day: Holy Shit! That is all I have to say about that one. Yeah......um. Going out with a bang!

The Stupid Mistakes I've Made in the Last Five Years: I may want to take them back, but I'm a better person for them.

My Family: I will always love you.

Happy Easter/April Fool's Day! 04-01-02

Happy Easter and April Fool's Day? Those are two occaisions that aren't typically included in the same breath, but then again they usually don't fall during the same time period. But, it works in this case for all practical purposes. Post-Easter at NDSU really signifies the reality that the end of the school year is in sight. In my case, it signifies the end of my college career......for now.

If I can only manage to get a D in that Statistics class that I'm taking, I'll be in good shape, since it's the only class that I need to graduate. I managed to a pull off a whopping 30% score for Exam 2 this past week! Normally, I'd be freaking out a little bit, but I discovered that there is no way that I can fail the class. Apparently, I already have 287 of the 500 total points offered in the course. According to my calculator, that puts me at a 57.4% in the class......a D on my professor's grading scale! Now if I could just get some reassurance that my financial situation will improve, I'd be in good shape.

It was good to see Jud Laipply on Tuesday. He was even gracious enough to come on my radio show that afternoon. While we couldn't quite replicate the post-performance festivities of last year, a good time was had by all at the Bison Turf after his show. Other highlights of this past week? My group getting our presentation out of the way for Business and Professional Speaking. I worked with Erik, Tanya, Stefany, Katie, and Scott to prepare and present information about the Nike Corporation to "potential stockholders" a.k.a. our classmates. Also, an awesome pre-Easter feast at Dex's, which consisted of seasoned grilled chicken and crispy fries. Two Words: Totally Fantastic! Finally, it was great spending some quality time with Crystal over the weekend. We watched the movie "Clerks," which receives a respectable rating in my book.

Recent updates include the music, campus attractions, NACA, Friends, and It's My Life pages. I've added a bunch of pics from Indianapolis and Jacksonville.

Well, this week should be an exciting one. Easily Amused is performing on our campus. They're also performing at a few other venues in town. I think they've got a lot of potential. Check 'em out. Also, don't forget to vote in the NDSU Student Body Elections this week, April 3rd and 4th. I always look forward to the announcement on Thursday night. Conveniently near the weekend! Also, for all you elephant enthusiasts, The Shrine Circus is in town.

Where did the month go? 03-23-02

Jolly Good to everyone! I hope this latest update finds everyone in good spirits, energetic, and less sluggish than I am right now as I type this. It has actually been over a month since I've left my mark on the "What's Happenin'? page." Lots of things have happened since that time.

Ten talented and exciting individuals have been chosen as the 2002-03 Campus Attractions staff. Congratulations to all of those people, and best of luck to you this next year. Now is the time when we transition these people in, through training sessions. Bison Ambassadors has also selected 28 new members for next year. We have a lot of people that won't be returning next year, so it's a large pool of new students who are ready to promote NDSU.

Dustin Diamond's performance at NDSU was just over one month ago. Although his performance didn't quite live up expectations and the hype (which is nearly impossible when you put someone under the microscope), it was still a great event to have at NDSU, with over 800 people in attendance. There was even a Dustin Diamond fan club that camped outside the Memorial Union so that they could be first in line to see the former Saved By the Bell star. Dustin was very gracious at lending his services to appear at the Mr. NDSU contest the night before, and conduct numerous radio interviews....including an interview on NDSU Campus Radio that produced record listenership! Thanks to everyone who helped out with Dustin Diamond and the rest of Bison Blizzard Bash....especially those who helped save the day on tech stuff.

I attended the National NACA Conference in Indianapolis in late February. It was so much fun hanging out with everyone. The evenings featured getting festive with Melissa, Kelly, the boys from Fade 2 Shade, the Millers, Lance, Denise, Wally, George, Jimmy, Amy, Scott, Erika, Michelle, John, Ramos, Chris, Shannon, and so many more. My fate in the music business was also determined, as I'll be working for Wally's World of Entertainment when I graduate in May. I am excited for the opportunity, and I can't wait to get the best education possible in the business.

A mere days later, I returned to Nashville, for the first time since last summer, and drove to Jacksonville with Wally to attend the APCA National Conference. Highlights of that weekend included hanging out with the gang from Luthar College in Decorah IA, bailing Fade 2 Shade's van out of jail, seeing the ocean for the first time, and getting my first ever sunburn in March. It was also great getting to meet Amanda Garrigues and see her perform. She's one of the newest additions to our roster at Wally's World. Following Jacksonville, I spent most of the next week at the lakehouse in Hendersonville, TN, softening the blow of my full-blown return in May.

Well, now it's back to business as usual at NDSU, but the days are flying by. I also came to the realization that I am incredibly broke.....to the point of credit card debt. Getting my car impounded last Tuesday night didn't help matters much. It's become a busy time with group projects, exams, presentations, and preparation to wrap-up the semester. I'm also helping Chris Haman and Josh Boschee with their campaign for student body president and vice president. Check out their web site at http://votehambo.tripod.com for more information.

Our friend Jud Laipply returns to NDSU on Tuesday, March 26th. We always get a bit out of control when he's in town! This night should be no exception, as we'll be celebrating his and Crystal's birthdays!

I'm off to work at the Fargodome. Super Snowcross racing is in town. I'll let you know how many mullets I count.

Be Well.....H~

Spring Break Time! 03-05-02

Hi Everybody! I can't believe it's already time for Spring Break. The semester is truly flying by! I just got back from Indianapolis, and I'm on my way out the door for Nashville and Jacksonville. Yeah, I know, it's way too much travelling for a broke college student. More later!

Safe and Happy Spring Break to Everyone!

Glad Valentine's Day is Over! 02-17-02

Hey Internet junkies/enthusiasts/patrons! Thanks for stopping by my home page. I've added another of my articles to the Writings section of my homepage. It's an A & E article on local hip/hop artist J-Sauce. The A & E editor for the Spectrum told me that he thought it was my best piece to date. That sure surprised the hell out of me!

Other happening's of the past week include a respectable showing on my first Statistics Exam, thanks in large part to Dex helping me with some stats problems the night before. Bari's CD Release party at the Trentino was a huge success on Tuesday night, with a sellout crowd. That was Fargo's last chance to see her perform for quite some time. Wednesday I went to the Sevendust concert at Playmakers with Holly, Dex, Eric, and D.J. Sevendust is simply incredible.

Wednesday and Thursday were also spent making sure that Mizat didn't go thirsty on his 21st birthday. I'd like to think that our efforts were successful. I think he would agree.

Friday and Saturday, Campus Attractions had the privilege of hosting the regional College Bowl at NDSU. Eight teams of the smartest students from the upper midwest were in attendance. Heck, one guy that was present from USD is actually a four-time high school Jeopardy tournament champion and the all-time high scorer for high school students ever to participate in that Jeopardy tournament. Pretty damn impressive in my humble opinion.

Finally, the rest of the weekend is featuring a little rest and relaxation, as well as patronizing some of the local establishments with some friends.

The Week ahead? Well, I will be sitting through over ten hours of interviews, for candidates for next year's C.A. staff, on Tuesday thu Thursday. That should be exciting, interesting, but overkill. Friday night, of course, is Dustin Diamond on campus for BBB. Finally, on Saturday morning, I leave for Indianapolis for the national NACA conference, funded solely by ME! Kind of sucks, but when you love the organization and the people in it, you'll do whatever it takes to be a part of the festivities.

Well, that about does it. Please sign the guestbook if you haven't done so already. It's conveniently located at the bottom of most of the pages on this site. I would sure appreciate hearing from you. Until next time..........

I'm not a Fan of Chicken Sandwiches Anymore - 02-08-02

On Friday evenings, I get to enjoy a leisurely meal at home. Usually it's oven-prepared food. Well, on this particular night, I dediced to make some chicken patties in the oven. I used to make them all the time last year and the year before that, so I figured I'd give them a try again. As I type this, I managed to consume the first one, but I'm staring at the second one with a feeling of queaziness and disgust. It's just not happening on this night. I guess it's time to break out the steaks!

By the way, the song I'm listening to while I type this is "Mexico" by James Taylor.

Well, a reflection on the past week leaves me in a good place, despite a few setbacks. When did I stop caring so much about my classes? I can't even bring myself to complete simple assignments. Studying for a test? That will take an act of Congress! All I know is the Statistics 330 class I'm taking is going to kill me.

Well, Monday was a typical Monday, nothing particularly exciting....especially when you have the Super Bowl the night before. I would like to thank Buffalo Wild Wings for accomodating Dex, Gil, Little J., Mizat, and me. Especially as the beverage consumption increased and my competency level decreased. Tuesday was our Apple Polisher event for Bison Ambassadors. AP allows each BA member to pick a faculty or staff member that has had a positive influence in his/her life and honor them at this banquet and reception that we put on. My guest was my advisor Janine. It was very cool to be able to recognize her for all that she does. Wednesday featured a very tense C.A. meeting (must have been a full moon), that made me want to go postal. But a couple of drinks with Dough and Eric calmed the nerves. Thursday was our C.A. recruitment night on campus. We had about 35 interested people who are anxious to be a part of C.A. It was so awesome for us, as current staff members, to remind ourselves just what our role is as a Campus Attractions staff.....to reach out to others and give them an opportunity. Post-recruitment activities included a brief stint at the Turf before heading to the Bowler to, once again, become incompetent.

And now it's the weekend. I wish I could say that I had an exciting one planned, but as of right now, the only thing I know that I'm doing for sure is presenting C.A.'s budget to the finance commission tomorrow morning.

A peek at the week ahead includes Marc Bamuthi Joseph in the Festival Concert Hall on Tuesday at NDSU. He's also in Moorhead at MSUM on Thursday night. Tuesday is also Bari Koral's CD Release concert at the Trentino. Mizat turns 21 one of these days next week, along with Scuba Steve. Finally, it's regional College Bowl on Friday and Saturday, the 15th and 16th.

No new additions to the web site this week. I'm trying to think of some new ideas so the site doesn't get stale right away. In the mean time, thanks for checking in and be safe and well.

February Already? 02-01-02

Wow! You can't tell me that it's not amazing that it's now February! It is only five weeks until Spring Break, and we all know that the light at the end of the tunnel is visible shortly after Spring Break. I would say that I'm really anxious to add closure to my college days. Especially after this past week....one of my most time consuming weeks in quite awhile.

My words of advice for this week: If you are going on hour #40 without sleep, it's not a good idea to consume alcoholic beverages. Well, it might be a good idea, if you're looking for a cheap drunk. A six pack under my belt, and I was incoherent and could hardly walk! I gotta try that again sometime!

I added some photos to the web site. Additions are present on the Friends and Music pages. I also jacked an html template for my links and miscellaneous page, but it's going to be a long time before I complete that page. One visit to that page and you'll understand why. None of those links are mine!

Well, I hope this latest rant finds you all in good spirits and health. I truly am fortunate to have great friends like all of you.

Until Next Time, H~

A Professional Milestone! 01-27-02

I'm back again, so soon! I just forgot to mention one thing. My pal Bari Koral is releasing her brand new CD on February 12th in Fargo. It's already available online at her web site. She advanced me a few copies last week, and I discovered something really awesome! She mentioned me in the "Thank You" section in the liner notes of her CD!

OK, you're probably thinking I'm a nerd or something, but it really meant a lot to me. She helped me get my start in the huge pool we know as the music business, and I really devoted a lot of time to helping further her career. So, for her to give me props in the jacket of her new disk, really makes me feel a sense of accomplishment. Hopefully this is only the beginning of a long line of contribution to talented artists such as her.

Thanks for reading. H~

A Piece of My Mind! 01-27-02

Well, I'm a little late on my weekly "what's happenin'" page. My goal was to try and check in on Friday, since I only had one class, but other stuff came up, which is the subject of this week's rant.

It's my last semester of college, a time when focus should be on putting together a resume, hunting for a job, and tying up all the loose ends of being an undergraduate. More importantly, it should be about enjoying life, spending as much time as possible with friends, and taking time out of the day to enjoy the simpler things. Because, hey, you never know where you'll go or what you'll do after you graduate. Unfortunately, my Friday was much similar to many of my days as a student. From the time I woke up in the morning, which was 10 a.m. (I'm not a morning person), to the time I finally got to hang out with friends at 10 p.m., I was busy dealing with class, conflicts, more conflicts, deadlines, distractions, and finally a three-hour bout with the folks at the Fargodome.

I really have no right to be crying in my beer about this because I brought it all on myself. Being heavily involved on campus can be a draining experience. Furthermore, the more involved you become, the more responsibilities are placed directly on your shoulders. I'm a very responsible person, and I like it when people feel that they can count on me. However, I also have difficulty in saying NO to people. This creates a situation in which you are trying to juggle too many things, concentrating on the most essential task of the day (while other things are put on the back burner), and finding yourself with not enough time in the day to get everything accomplished.

I only have a few more months of this dilemma left. Although it's difficult trying to be involved in so many different activities, it comes with its rewards. It's a great resume builder and I've been fortunate enough to meet and become friends with many great people throughout the past three years. I have learned, however, that you need to learn to pick your battles and try to stick to those areas that you feel most passionately about. Don't do something just to do it because you'll find yourself overcommitted, burned out, and longing for a drink.

All that being said, my goal is to make time for fun stuff!

I got to see my buddy Jud on Tuesday night at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Jud Laipply is currently touring the nation presenting his Motivational Comedy for college students. I still owe him a ton of drinks, so I'll have to make good on that when he comes back in March.

Well, the weekend was a good one for me. I went to Playmakers to see Panoramic Blue on Friday night. Those guy are it! They'll be one of the top bands in the college market in two years. You heard it here first! Saturday night featured a four-hour session of work at the Fargodome. The night improved from that point, with a trip to the Bison Turf, and then a journey to the VFW in Moorhead. Then, it was back to the Turf, followed by a decent kegger at Ben and Matt's. All in all, a decent weekend. Thanks to Gil, Gwen, and Chad, for sticking with me through my getting lost in Moorhead and my pathetic attempts to understand women.

Check out the brand new web site of my friends from Simple Device. The site is still being tweaked, but you can still check out the nuts and bolts of it by going to http://www.simpledeviceband.com.

By the way, whomever decided to TP some trees on campus is asking for trouble. I can see throwing ass-wipe on fraternity house trees, but when you start defacing trees around high-traffic areas at NDSU, you are showing how immature you truly are. The union is my home away from home, so please don't TP the trees around my home.

Speaking of the union, NDSU's internet radio station is now broadcasting live in the lower level of the Memorial Union. Simply go to http://www.ndsu.edu/webradio and click on the link to listen. My shows are Mondays from 12 - 1 p.m., 2 - 3:30 p.m., and 10:10 p.m. - midnight, as well as Wednesdays from 1 - 3:30 p.m. Thanks to all who have listened to my show and put up with my e-mail pleas for listeners.

A recent update to the page is on the Writings page, as I've included a recent article that I wrote on Panoramic Blue. I'll be adding more photos within the next week, so check back for those!

With that being said, I think it's time to go grab a Sunday night beer at the Turf. Hope you all have a great week!

H~

Settling in for the Final Semester! 01-18-02

Happy 21st Birthday to Kristin!

Greetings and Salewe! How's life treating ya? Well, I met with my advisor, she signed the form, I turned it in, and with any luck, I'm going to be graduating in May! After five years of my life spent at NDSU in Fargo, I now am approaching the crossroads. Where do I go from here? Time will give me the answer to that, but in the intermediary (is that a word?), I might as well make the most of my few months left as a college student.

This past week was crazy busy, but really exciting. Monday was my 23rd Birthday! I got my free meal at Paradisos with the Spectrum crew, and then proceeded to the Bison Turf for some great drinks and shots with Kai, Dex, Eric, Holly, Lea, Mike, Michelle, Gil, Jason, Scott, Megan, Roxanne, Matthew, Metzger, Pash, Steph, Shaun, Steve, etc. etc. Fun times, fun times.

I also took my first stab as road manager this past week for my new bud Matthew. He had great shows at NDSU at MSU in Moorhead. He also took time out to do some radio interviews on campus for our internet radio station, as well as for North Dakota Public Radio. I barely receive a passing grade for my short stint as road manager, because Matt missed his flight out of Fargo. He insisted that he knew what time it was at, and I didn't bother to check him on it. My bad. Great guy, great entertainer!

I also got the opportunity to hang out with my friends from CAB at MSUM on Wednesday night. Crystal, Tamara, Brad, Tammy, Sara, Trevor, and the rest of the gang are doing great things over there.

Look for big things from Simple Device in the next year. This Fargo four-piece is developing a sound that becomes tighter with every show they do. Their show at the Bowler last night proved why they are cut out to headline club shows.

Check out my radio show on NDSU Thunderweb Radio on Mondays from 12 to 1 p.m. and 2 to 3:30 p.m. and Wednesdays from 1 to 3:30 p.m. I'm also going to be sharing the airwaves with my pal Brooke off and on, as well as doing a wrestling weekly radio show on Monday nights from 10:15 p.m to midnight. Tune in for that.

Like I said, it was a busy week with budgeting, dealing with malfunctioning tech equipment, web radio stuff, and more budgeting. Well, all this being said, it's time for a few drinks.

Damn! Even More Updates? 01-06-02

Well, I don't know what's gotten into me, but I spent all damn day working on this page. I truly need a life! But, when you're broke, I guess you find other ways to pass the time. I created a new page called NACA, so be sure to check it out. It's got two photo galleries from past NACA Conferences that I attended. I also updated the Friends Page, with some neat photos. Enjoy!

New Year = New Beginnings 01-05-02

Well, it's about 12:30 p.m. on a Friday night and here I am, updating my web site and ranting and raving. I can't believe I'm actually staying home and behaving myself on a Friday night, but hey it's good for me. I've made some great progress on this site as of late, most recently to the music page. I have also been fine tuning the Campus Attractions portion of my web portal.

Well, the New Year's Holiday has come and gone. I had an exciting time in Minneapolis. A year and a half ago, I never thought I'd be ringing in the New Year in downtown Minneapolis with the people I was with. But, it just goes to show how important it is to make most of every opportunity you are given to meet people and develop friendships.

New Year's Resolutions? Yeah, I'm trying a few: Get in shape again, don't over-committ myself, strengthen friendships, and smile and laugh a lot more. So, yeah, I have my work cut out for me! What better time than at the start of a new year to make positive changes?

Well, the updates and modifications to this site will continue until I get this squeaky wheel of a homepage fixed at last. Until the next episode....

H~

Season's Greetings! 12-25-01

I wanted to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season. I hope that you also have a Happy and Prosperous New Year. Count your blessings and keep the less fortunate in mind in these unsettled times.

As far as updates to this web page are concerned, they're coming along. "It's My Life" page has been updated. This page is simply about my history and what some of my interests are. I apologize for the old photo. It was taken along the Chicago shoreline about three years and fifteen pounds ago! I'm in the process of scanning in some newer photos.

Also, the "Campus Attractions" section is updated. It gives a little information on who I work with. There is also a ton of archived information from recent years about C.A. Feel free to take a peek. I have much more to get done on that section.

I'm very much looking forward to New Year's Eve. It'll be a great opportunity to hang out with the whole crew....in downtown Minneapolis....to ring in 2002 in a big way. Dex, Melissa, Lance, Toby, Chris, Denise, Craig, Holly, Jenn, Megan, and hopefully many more of my friends will be on hand for this fun time at Backstage at Bravo.

Well, that is all for now. Party responsibly and send all donations to me.

Inaugural Entry from House 12-19-01

Hello all! I just completed my last final exam of the semester earlier today (well, technically yesterday), and I just had to take on another project. So, I decided to get my butt in gear and update my web site. My web site has been existence for about 4 years, but it hasn't been regularly maintained in two years. I would like to think that I've learned a lot in my 4 1/2 years in college. On that note, if there is one lesson that stands out for me, it is about displaying professionalism.

I realize that this web site looks like crap, for the most part. In my defense, I'm not the most taught person when it comes to html. However, I am very apt at educating myself through trial and error. So, just stick with me and keep checking back here to witness the gradual transformation of HOUSE's HOMEPAGE. So much has happened in these past few years, and I'm excited to share it all with you on this site very soon. In the mean time, feel free to drop me an e-mail to ask me what's happenin'?
