Scenic Adventures

Vast softwood stands lend their various shades of green to the brilliant shades of red, orange, yellow and gold of the surrounding hardwood ridges creating the most incredibly breath-taking panoramas ever seen. With the largest and most numerous mountains in the New England region, northern New Hampshire is indisputably the unrivaled leader in fall foliage viewing; the literal "leaf peeping" capital of the world.

We offer a variety of services and blend any combination of them to create custom packages designed to enhance anyone's time spent in the wild NH outdoors. Ride the picturesque Androscoggin River in our handsome McKenzie driftboat, paddle along a pristine lake, or yet, hike to a scenic vantage point to drink in the beauty.

Scenic Float Trips

There is no better way to take in the spectacular beauty of the fall foliage season than to drift the Androscoggin River in the "Thirteen Mile Woods" area. Each bend in the river will present you with another gorgeous view. And you never quite know which one of God's little creatures you'll encounter as sightings of moose, deer, bear, otters, eagles and osprey are not uncommon. The trip includes a delicious streamside lunch. Parties are limited to two adults and one child.

Scenic Day Hikes

The northern New Hampshire woodlands are interspersed with hiking trails. Being an avid hiker/backpacker, Rick is intimately familiar with the spots that afford the best vantage points for fall foliage viewing. Choose a single climb and spend a day on a ledge, or mountain summit and take in the exquisite views. A delicious lunch and pleasant conversation are provided. Don't forget to bring that camera along.

Or if you'd rather, you can take in a morning view, then enjoy a scenic drive along the Androscoggin River, and climb to a second vantage point in the afternoon. There's always the probability that you'll encounter wildlife along the way.

Prices for the scenic hikes vary according to party size. Please contact us for more information.

Scenic Day Hikes

Another great way of taking in the beauty of the North Country summer or fall is to canoe the area lakes, ponds and rivers. And if you want to hang around for a while to take more of it in, we offer outfitted backcountry canoe camping. We supply the gear, (or part of it if you wish), and we take you there.

Here is the ultimate vacation getaway. Imagine being the only person around for miles, that is, unless you bring someone with you. No boss, no agenda, no clock, and no phone (unless you bring that along too!) You'll have nothing to do all day long but hike, swim, fish, canoe and eat. Lounge around the campfire at night sipping your favorite wine while reclining in a comfortable hammock. The crackling of the campfire has a great way of erasing the everyday pressures and challenges of life from your mind. Crickets will lull you to sleep, and you'll wake to the sound of chirping birds. These trips can be fully or partially outfitted (except food and personals), or bring your own gear and we'll take you there. Check in and provisions delivery are available. Prices vary according to party size and needs. Don't delay, contact us today, and let Mother Nature pamper you.
