The Mercenary Company - Eshrao's Stalkers

Company History

The characters are part of an established mercenary company, "The Stalkers". This company has only been around in it's current form for 5 to 10 years. But it is actually the re-birth of a prior company with a long history, "Wantu's Stalkers" . That company actually existed for generations and was counted among " The First Hundred", meaning one of the first 100 mercenary companies.

The first Stalkers were destroyed during the last "Corsair Ascension", marking the rise of a new Prince of Umbar. The survivors scattered, until a few gathered together to re-claim the companies colors. They were led by a quiet, young Lieutenant named Eshrao and 2 veteran Sargeants Tavo and Hulthard. With a recent lucrative contract from the Corsairs, they have recently grown back to 4 platoons totally just under 200 men. The Players find themselves in charge of one of these platoons. Each of the platoons below have been promised enough money and new recruits to all become Companies. All they have to do is survive.

Here is a copy of the Mercenary Contract they will have to sign. Note that prior to the September 5th game, all the Stalkers' Platoons signed contracts with the Corsairs. The player-characters have now achieved Company Status, and took the name, "The Sons of the Stalkers".

After successfully defending the town of Chyrefal in seige from the Corsairs (2nd chapter), and then purging an ancient temple of an undead horror (A Lich) as well as rescuing the remians of "The Lions" and the First Captain Eshrao (3rd chapter), Rohn's men were awarded the name "The Stalkers". The most recent chapter completed (4th) saw them get hired by Gondorians to rescue prisoners from the Corsairs.
