Our city of Belgorod is located in one of ancient parts of the Russian state. The history of the region is very long and rich in many historical events. The names of very many historical persons and common people are connected with such places as Belgorod, Kursk, Voronezh and others.

Our organization has the wide connections with state and church archives not only in Belgorod but in Moscow, St.Petersburg and many other places all over Russia.

In 1708 according to the administrative reform of Peter the Great Belgorod was attached to the Kiev Province. In 1727 under the order of Empress Catherine I the Belgorod Province was founded, it included the Belgorod, Orel and Sevsk regions. The first governor of the Belgorod Province was Prince Trubetskoy. In 1732 there were 33 towns in the Belgorod Province.

But in the reign of Catherine II, in 1779 the Belgorod Province was abolished and its regions became the parts of the Kursk and Voronezh Provinces and Belgorod became the center of the Belgorod District of the Kursk Province.

Now Belgorod is the centre of the Belgorod Oblast (Province). The Belgorod Province includes the following regions:

Look through these pages, maybe you'll find your name in this list. But don't forget please, if your ancestors moved from Russia abroad, it often happened that many surnames were changed and sometimes rather much.
For example famous French detective writer George Simenon often said that his ancestor was a Russian soldier Semenov by name that stayed in France in 1814. So, you see Semenov was transformed into Simenon in France. The same often happened in over countries too. And also there are many differences in the way of spelling of Russian names in English.

At first we must say the success of every genealogical research depends on many factors, but the main are the following:

the authenticity and completeness of the initial information;
his or her full name;
the region where your ancestor lived in, his (or her) years of birth and death

In this e-mail write please all information you have about your ancestor (the full name including the first name, the patronymic name (the name of the father of your ancestor) and surname, his (or her) year and place of birth and any other information will be very useful).

If this information will be enough to begin the research, we let you know and you will have to pay us the advance of $100 to confirm the seriousness of your intentions.

The final price is individual for each research. Very often we have to pay for copies of archive documents, sometimes it is necessary to send our specialist to some another place and pay for this business trip. We will tell you the approximate price after considering your information. And of course we will not start researches without your consent.
