Molly came to WWE in November of 2000. She came to help her cousins Crash and Hardcore Holly against T&A and Trish Stratus. She and Crash teamed with Steve Blackman to beat the trio at Survivor Series. Molly continued to accompany Crash to ringside well into 2001.

However, tension started when she and Spike Dudley started to have feelings for each other. This didn't sit well with their respective families, who despised each other. However, Spike and Molly rose above it and became a couple. It lasted until the fall, when the Alliance's Hurricane made references to wanting a sidekick. He approached Molly, who rejected him. However, when Molly knocked herself out in a match with Ivory, the Hurricane came to her rescue and took her away. At the next Raw, she showed up with the Hurricane as his sidekick Mighty Molly. She helped Hurricane beat her former boyfriend Spike and then went after the Women's Title. However, when the Alliance lost the main event at Survivor Series, they were evicted from WWE.

It didn't take Molly and the Hurricane long to be rehired, as Ric Flair assumed control of fifty percent of WWE. At WrestleMania X-8, she briefly won the Hardcore Title from the Hurricane after hitting him with a frying pan, but quickly lost it. After WrestleMania, a brand extension occurred, and Molly was drafted to Ric Flair's Raw brand while Hurricane was drafted to Vince McMahon's Smackdown. Molly shed her superhero identity and once again became Molly Holly. She wasted no time by attacking Trish Stratus, and allied herself with the Women's Champion Jazz. Trish soon won the title and Jazz went on the DL, so Molly became the number one contender. She beat Trish for the title at King of the Ring 2002. She held it until September, when she lost it back to Trish.

Molly continued to compete on the undercard for the rest of the year and into 2003. She got back into the title hunt after newcomer Gail Kim won the title in a battle royal on Raw. Molly won the belt from her in July, and chastised her, saying that she had brought Kim to WWE to help her end the career of Trish, not to win the title. They set out to destroy Trish, but Trish was saved by Lita.
