Singapore

Singapore is a small but a very beautiful and economically strong country and a great tourist resort, with an area of 648 sq. km. and a  population of 3,571,710 people (estimated for 2000). Per capita GDP is US$ 26,670 which is indeed very high. Singapore dollar (*S$) is the local currency and US$1 = S$1.74. Chinese ,Malay ,Tamil and English  all are official languages.

Offered Courses: The most popular courses offered from Singapore are courses in Computer sciences, Business Administration and English Language, at certificate/diploma (1 year), advanced diploma (2-years) and bachelor (3-years) levels. Usually the colleges offer British and Australian degrees. So the credit hours are transferable to these countries. Medium of instruction is English for all courses.

Average Fees: Per year average tuition fee is about US$3000. Each academic year is divided into two semesters. Before going there you have to deposit tuition fee for at least one semester.

Living: Living is relatively expensive in Singapore. Your per month average living (Accommodation & Food) can cost you US$300+.

 Admission requirements: for admission in undergraduate courses you need to have at least an Intermediate certificate or equivalent with a minimum of ā€œCā€ grade. Proof of English proficiency is not required.

Intakes: Intakes are available in January, April and September.

Visa: Visa is arranged by the college. Students need to be under 25 years of age to get a student visa for undergraduate courses.
