Gold/Silver

With the successful launches of Pokemon Red and Blue, there is still more yet to come. Pokemon has sold millions of copies of Pokemon so Nintendo has decided to make a sequel to this great game. Thats right. Pokemon Gold and Silver a.k.a. Pokemon 2 are coming to Gameboy. These sequels will be better than the last. Not much is known about this game yet. It is to be released in Japan around October. It is still an iffy if Gold and Silver will be coming to America. Rumors say that we will expect around 300 pokemon including the first 150. So there might be as much as 150 new Pokemon (To see some of the new Pokemon go to the new pokemon pictures section). There are even new techniques pokemon can learn. The graphics have been brushed up a lot. The pokemon battles look better. The game is also to be longer with more memory. Red and Blue cartridges were 5MB. Gold and Silver will hold around 8MB. In the previous games the transportation was a bicycle. Now you will travel with a skateboard. You also have anew device which is a watch, telephone, and radio in one. You can trade with thelder versions but you cannot trade the new pokemon. It is said that there may be breeding of Pokemon. So there will be both male and female pokemon like the case of the Nidoran. There even is a time thing incorporated into the game. There will be night and day. Some Pokemon will sleep in the day, and some in the night. Some Pokemon can ONLY be caught in the day, and some ONLY in the night. Pokemon like Electabuzz, Onix, and Hitmonchan will be able to evolve if they didn’t. Some pokemon that already evolve might get another evolution (e.g. Slowbro evolves to Slowking/Yadokinku). There will be new gyms like Natuskan Gym. There are many new characters and trainers in the game. You even have a new rival. The character you control is not confirmed but it might be Ash/Satoshi or a brand new character.
