How To Play Pokemon: TCG

How To Play:

Well to start off you and a friend need a deck of 60 cards. Both of you shuffle your decks. Now draw 7 cards each. Once you have done that check if you have a basic pokemon. If you don’t then your opponent gets to draw 2 cards. They will continue to draw cards till you have a basic pokemon. Okay now draw 6 card from the top of your deck. These 6 cards will be your prizes. You draw them each time you make an opponents pokemon faint. Put them on the side like the diagram below.

Also make sure your play area looks like this. This is how you should assemble the cards. Once everything is set up you’re ready to play. Flip a coin to see who goes first. Now its time to duke it out with your opponent.

When it is your turn, these are the steps you should follow:

1)Draw a card
2)attach an energy card, put a pokemon on the bench, retreat a pokemon, evolve a pokemon, play a trainer card, use a pokemon power(DO ANY OF THE FOLLOWING IN ANY ORDER A OFTEN AS YOU LIKE EXCEPT THAT YOU CAN ONLY ATTACH ONE ENERGY CARD PER TURN AND YOU CAN’T EVOLVE AP POKEMON YOU JUST EVOLVED)
3)Attack with your active pokemon
4)Your turn is over

If youre pokemon or your opponents pokemon faints, the pokemon and any attached cards go in your discard pile. All trainer cards are immediately discarded after use.

There are 3 different ways you can win. One is that you collect all your prizes after defeating your opponents pokemon. The other is that your opponent has no pokemon to bring out, and last your opponent’s deck is out of cards. Thats how you play! Trade with your friends, collect them all, make your own decks! The fun doesn’t stop with Pokemon.
