Monica Reyes

Reyes first entered The X-Files world in the episode This is Not Happening. Born in Austin, Texas, she was adopted by a Mexican couple and raised in Mexico(I don't remember this being mentioned on the show, but I read it on the official site when it existed. . .). She worked with John Doggett before she came to help him with The X-Files, to find his missing son, who later was found murdered. Reyes is definitly not skeptical. She believes in forces of evil and seems to be a very nature-loving person(In Existence, she talks about the pretty sounds whales make and even mimicks them :) ). At the end of the 8th season, Reyes not only delivers Scully's baby, but she takes over the new mom's position on The X-Files.

Reyes grows close to Doggett(It seems The X-Files is a great hook-up place :)). Reyes is also very close to Scully, and is there with her when Scully decides to give William up for adoption. Reyes testifies at Mulder's trial in The Truth and is outraged by the prosecutor not caring that Scully had to give up her baby to protect him.

Reyes helps Mulder escape from prison, and helps hide Gibson Praise, but, in effect, The X-files are shut down.
