5x14 The Red and the Black- Scully is rescued from the bridge but Cassandra is taken.(2nd part) Episode Name Meaning: I'm not sure. I've read four different reasons why, but I don't agree with any of them. These are the reasons I've read: 1.It could refer to a French novel called `Le Rouge Et Le Noir` by Henri Beyle in which the main character is Julien Sorel, a poor, self-made man angry at the rich and nobles who don`t accept him. 2.It may also refer to a battery, the positive end is red, the negative end is black(negative being the alien rebels killing people; postive being, um, the colonists who want to take over the Earth?) 3.It may refer to the Russians (red) and the Americans (black). 4. Or it could refer to the two colors of blood, alien blood being black, human blood being red. But like I said, I disagree with all of these reasons because I don't think any of these titles fit the episode and that it has to do solely with the two alien races. I kinda agree with the 4th reason about Black being the alien Colonists' blood but I think that Red refers to the fire that the alien rebels use to kill the people that the Colonists call. Aired: 3/8/98

5x15 Travelers- Set in 1991, Mulder meets Arthur Dales, who tells him about how Mulder's father was involved in an early X-File. Episode Name Meaning: Name given to the men like Bill Mulder and the work they did Aired: 3/29/98

Aired: 5/10/98
