The Access POWER library databases are a collection of full text periodical databases; electronic reference databases, such as the World Almanac and Funk & Wagnall's Encyclopedia; the Associated Press photo archive; poetry and language arts databases, and access to school, public, and academic library catalogs across the state of Pennsylvania.
The periodical databases include full text articles from hundreds of periodicals and newspapers, and are searchable by keyword or subject. The AP photo archive includes hundreds of thousands of photos, graphs, charts, maps, and logos from the late 1800's through two minutes ago!
In order to use the Access POWER library databases from your home computer, you must have a valid public library card from one of the participating public libraries. If you hold a library card for any of the Butler County Federated Library System branches, you can click on the icon below to link to the Butler Area Public Library home page to access the POWER resources. Enter the barcode number from the back of your library card in the text line to begin using the POWER library databases.
