C.I.A.World Fact Book - An excellent source of information when students need to locate information about different countries.

KidInfo - A great site for homework help, reference resources (almanacs, dictionaries, atlases, encyclopedias, libraries, quotes, museums). Also links to search engines, just-for-fun sites, games, and coloring activities. Great links to sites for American history, world history, social studies, math, science, art, foreign languages, computer ed., current events, health, and language arts.

KidsConnect - Online question and answer service for K - 12 students provided by the American Library Association.

National Geographic.com Kids - National Geographic's kids site for information about the world, its people, and wildlife.
Why Files - Find the answers to your science questions.

My Virtual Reference Desk - Includes many types of dictionaries (spelling, quotation, foreign language, etc.), current news, almanacs, and many reference tools.

Butler Public Library - Students who have a valid Butler Public library card can search Access POWER from the Butler Public Library's web site.  The Access POWER (Pennsylvania Online World of Electronic Resources) Library site consists of full text magazine and journal articles, encyclopedias online, reference tools for young readers, and an archive of 500,000 current and historical photographs.

Research Guide for Students - Search engines, a virtual library, and many, many, tips for great research and report writing, including how to write a Works Cited or Bibliography page.
